Dil Kiya Kare
Written by Asma Nabeel (who also wrote the popular drama Khaani) and directed by the super talented by Mehreen Jabbar, produced by 7th Sky Entertainment, the drama features Feroze Khan and Yumna Zaidi. Only a few episodes have been aired so far but it seems like the story involves a love triangle and will be focusing on the issue of second marriages by widowers. The drama itself, castes the hugely popular heartthrob Feroze khan as lead. So we recommend watching the first few episodes for sure. To our delight and relief, Feroze’s character is different from his previous roles so far. He is a quiet, reserved and very romantic person who harbors a secret liking for his cousin. Yumna Zaidi’s character slowly grows upon you.
Marina Khan’s performance definitely deserves a mention. She is playing the role of Feroze’s mother who is very traditional, old fashioned and superstitious. It’s interesting to see her in this role. Dil Kiya Kare is a family drama with romance and complicated family dynamics in the plot. If you can give the first few episodes a watch, this definitely seems to be shaping up as another super-hit performance from Feroze Khan.

Watch on: GEO Entertainment
Well, do we really need to give you a reason to watch this one? The drama features the handsome Bilal Khan (from Rangreza and Balaa) and the talented Saba Qamar in lead roles. But just before you get all excited, and to set your expectations right, let us tell you that they are not in love with each other (up until now :)). Cheekh is a suspense and mystery drama about a poor girl who is raped and murdered at the engagement ceremony of her rich best friend. We have yet to see how the best friend will battle with her own in-laws to seek justice for her dead friend. The story is predictable and nothing out of the ordinary but the plot momentum keeps you engaged and waiting to see what happens next. The Cheekh team has done a commendable job at giving us an engrossing mystery.
Cheekh is a refreshing change from the usual depressing storylines. The entire cast has delivered a great a performance, and each one of them plays a significant role in ensuring that the viewers stay in suspense and engage in guesswork as to what will happen next or who has done it.

Kaisa Hai Naseeban
Starring Muneeb Butt and Ramsha Khan, Kaisa Hai Naseeban focuses on marital abuse and the good old evil-scheming saas theme. Ramsha plays an innocent, seedhi saadi girl. She readily agrees to her parents wishes to marry her cousin who lives abroad, trusting their judgment and him. What follows is a story of deceit, senseless plottin, and unnecessary abuse. While the drama is being applauded for raising the issue of marital abuse and trying to alert parents who desperately want to marry their daughters abroad, Kaisa Hai Naseeban is depressing, sad and very unrealistic. The production quality and storyline are also not strong enough to carry the story. So we would gladly give it a miss on our drama list. The team delivers professional performance, but the content, rona dhona and scheming get on one’s nerve after a while.

Dil-e-Bereham is produced by Sadia Jabbar, (the name behind Mera Naam Yousaf Hai, Mere Bewafa and Khuda Dekh Raha Hai). The drama features Amar Khan, Mariyam Nafees and Wahaj Ali in the lead cast. Despite the story being unrealistic and inspired by Star Plus soaps, it captivates you and keeps you wondering as to how the narrative will progress.
Amar Khan marries her cousin Wahaj with the ulterior motive of taking her father’s revenge. Wahaj is in love with her and is oblivious of her scheming intentions. Wahaj’s mother is a controlling and scheming character who will go to any lengths to get her way. It’s refreshing to see some new faces in this drama. Amar khan from Ghuggi fame is doing a great job. Wahaj Ali’s character grows upon you gradually. The drama has aired a few episodes so far, but the OST seems to suggest that they will both eventually fall in love with each other and will have to figure out a way to overcome their hatred against each other’s families. We would definitely recommend you to give this one a try
