Yunhi dropped the first episode and if you’re a fan of a vintage kinda romance, this one’s for you!
Yunhi – The Drama That’s Not Sensational, Yet Captivates At First Glance
Thoughts On Yunhi
Yunhi first episode just handed out vintage love feels! It was a soothing story, like you just picked up a classic novel and read chapter one. Thank you drama makers for teleporting us into another world. The OST by Shae Gill and Sami Khan is just love!
Bilal Ashraf and Maya Ali onscreen casting seems very promising. We’re already enjoying the pairing. Khaqan Shahnawaz as Daniyal amuses at first glance and good to see Tazeen Hussain back onscreen. It was refreshing to see Deepak Perwani back onscreen after a break.

First Episode, First Review
Here comes a story, simple yet captivating in its own way. It is not the usual masala script we are used to. It is a drama highlighting family dynamics, politics and ties that do not break despite everything that can go wrong.
It is refreshing to see an ensemble cast that is a blend of young and new faces and some seasoned ones we have not seen recently.
The first episode aimed at laying the backdrop to the story, introducing us to the family dynamics, the history, and the tragedy that has plagued the family for many years. In addition, it also introduced us to each character and his or her story.
The drama also very subtly, highlighted issues like gender biases, the power position one holds in a household, the repercussions faced by the entire family for the decisions taken by a single person, how ambition and higher education can maybe make you forget your roots, and how we judge people based on their outer appearances.
What we loved most were the great and natural performances from the entire cast. If you are not watching Yunhi, catch it soon!
Yunhi and Kuch Ankahi are ushering a new breed of dramas that aim to feed the soul. If you want to change the drama game, change the narrative. Both director Ehtishamuddin & Nadeem Baig are doing just that with help from Sarwat Nazir & Mohammed Ahmed. Yeah, we’re feeling hopeful!
Yunhi is written by Sarwat Nazir, directed by Muhammad Ehteshamuddin, produced by MD Productions and airs every Sunday night on HUM TV.
