1. Sajal Aly In Kuch Ankahi
Loving how Sajal Aly is portraying Aliya. A strong, empowered and principled girl but never making that person go overboard. Appreciation for presenting a strong woman without making her have a meltdown, perform silly acts of rebellion and lose her sense of courtesy.
2. Sheheryar Munawar In Kuch Ankahi
Refreshing to see Sheheryar Munawar in role that sets him apart from his recent projects. There is a a subtle toxic streak in Azfar’s personality. He keeps us confused, sometimes he comes across s someone arrogant and bitter but then sometimes Sheheryar Munawar shows us a side of Azfar that makes you think there is more to him.
3. Yumna Zaidi In Tere Bin
And we have some great heart touching moments thanks to Yumna Zaidi. Throughout the week she kept us hooked on Meerab as she went through a rollercoaster of emotions – of guilt, concern for Mariam and the excruciating realization that she not only let Murtasim down, but she might also have really hurt him badly.
4. Hira Soomro In Tere Bin
Hira as Mariam delivered a great performance. Especially the part where Mariam kept asking Malik Zubair to arrange the nikah. Her depiction of a girl whose sixth sense is warning her, but she is in denial, and is getting emotionally blackmailed was very well conveyed.
5. Khushhal Khan In Muhabbat Gumshuda Meri
Good to see Khushhal as a young guy figuring out his feelings. His portrayal of a young lover, who is gradually realizing that his friendship might actually be love, is engaging and relatable. Many actions and thoughts of this young hero would connect with the youth.
6. Rabiya Kulsoom In Mujhe Pyaar Hua Tha
Rabiya Kulsoom as Neelo is a force to reckon with. What we love about her is that her anger seems so unforced & real, never fake or trying too hard to be the angry young sister – an on-point performance!
7. Adeel Hussain In Pyari Mona
Adeel Hussain as Baber in Pyari Mona is an interesting character. He keeps making us experience a plethora of feelings. On one side he tests our patience with Baber’s arrogance and selfishness but then on the other side, we also feel his confusion, his frustration as he is tries to figure out what he wants, where to find peace. His portrayal of a man fighting with his own truth is impactful.
