“Yahan to betiyon ko woh rights bhi nahin diyay jaatey jo Islam ney unko diyay hain. Tum log to Islam sey ziyada culture, riwayat aur logon ki maantey ho.”
Yunhi hits back (or hits us hard) with a reality check that still exists in many parts of society under the name of izzat, and “humraay ghar ki larkiyan yeh nahin kertee.”

The Men In The Drama Prove To Be Massive Disappointments
Dada Jaan refuses to accept that he might have been wrong, and that girls have the right to choose whom they want to marry. Dawood chooses to turn a blind eye and despite being so Islamic, fails to acknowledge the right given to a girl in Islam, Daniyal is not only two-faced, he is also extremely selfish as he convinces his mother to plan his nikah with Husna at the cost of sacrificing Suriya’s happiness and Basharat, despite feeling for his daughter, doesn’t have the courage to raise his voice.
Is Suriya’s anger righty placed towards Kim for telling everyone about Owais in Yunhi?
Owais Deserves A Chance?
While Dawood’s concern about a boy not being sincere to Suriya, (as many people at this age are not serious about life or relationships, and Suriya might be too naïve) can be valid, but Owais still deserves a chance to be met at least once. It was indeed endearing to see how politely Kim tries to convince Dada about letting Suriya marry whomever she wants and also shows him the reality of his past decisions – decisions for which his daughters had to pay.
Kim is genuinely disturbed and wants to help Suriya.
It will also be difficult for Kim to accept Dawood after this event. Her sense of righteousness and her disappointment in his inability to fight for his sister will definitely affect her feelings for him. She does try to tell him something when she says “you could have been a husband who enforces his will on his wife…”
Dawood Unable To Take A Stand!
While we appreciate Dawood in many cases, it is disappointing to see his character hold limited vision. We were hoping that maybe Kim’s entry into his life would have given him another perspective or open his mind a bit. His sincerity becomes questionable as he tells Kim about a husband and wife being each other’s best friends but refuses to give Suriya her basic right.
