Ali Safina Following In The Footsteps Of His Father
Lauded for his comic acting and versatility in serious roles, the actor is much loved but rare to find on screen. We to spoke Ali very recently at FUCHSIA HQ for an exclusive conversation on his projects Fairytale and the trending Kuch Ankahi. Ali Safina is a father to a lovely daughter so naturally, we wanted to know if there are some things he does consciously as a father, somethings he wants to do differently from pervious generations? What to him, is the most rewarding thing about being a father and if his dad has influenced his parenting style?
He says that watching his father raise his sister was a prime example, and now that he is a father himself he tries to follow in his foot steps. He seems quite a traditionalist in his approach but he has seen his father treating sons and daughters the same, with no differentiation in education, rules, extra curricular for him, his brother and sister. Ali Safina being Ali Safina wished himself a happy fathers day and to all other fathers. For him the most rewarding aspect about being a dad is seeing his family happy, surrounded by the joy and in turn, his daughter happy.
Azaan Sami Khan Navigating Single Parenthood
Singer extraordinaire and Actor, Azaan has been quite transparent about his journey as a single parent and in an exclusive FUCHSIA interview shared some commendable insights. He shared how society creates unnecessary ego in men which is detrimental and to take well informed, beneficial decisions for your children, it’s essential to keep ego aside. That is one thing he found difficult to come to terms with and the day he learnt to keep the ego apart, everybody’s life and especially his children’s, got better. He pointed out how the focus on giving advice to stay together for the sake of your children is thrown around but what he feels is more important is giving children a happy environment and not living a battle of egos and conflict, making children the collateral damage. He likes to schedule his work around his children’s routines and dedicating a certain time entirely to them.
He points out a common dilemma single parents face of somehow, ending up spoiling the children. :In trying to over compensate for the guilt you spoil them.” Further, he believes in being honest with children because that’s what he has learnt from his mother who would always be honest with him even when he was really young. A sound piece of advice he gave: even if it’s not something age appropriate, his mother would flatly tell him so.
Shaan Shahid Is His Daughter’s Best Friend
Legendary actor Shan Shahid is a full-on girls dad to 4 beautiful girls, whom, when he was talking about, melted our hearts. In an exclusive interview with FUCHSIA, he said his girls are lovely and discuss everything with him from work, love, heartbreak to politics.
He aspires to be the kind of father his daughters share secrets with, he wishes to be there for his daughters when they experience their heartbreak, first love and all the big/small moments in life. He observes the world through his late mother, wife and daughters’ lens! One thing he focused as a belief was them having their own zone, privacy, freedom, secrets and their way of thinking and at the end of the day, he can only guide them on their moral principles.
He wants them to make mistakes and learn from them because what would life be without making mistakes? He says he can help them find the treasure but they have to own it and cherish it. He is adorably obsessed with his daughters and joked about bringing his daughters’ husbands’ home! He credits this mentality to being raised by his mother. He just hopes for his daughters to find their life’s balance and their happiness.
We love the particularly heart warming responses all 3 celebrity fathers shared with us. What did you think? Whose approach do you think relates most to your father? And before we forget, Happy Fathers Day!
