Pop Queen, Taylor Swift has rerecorded her album, “speak now” with 6 brand new songs – Find out the one we are listening to on repeat!

Is it a mere coincidence that 2023 has taken us on a nostalgic rollercoaster ride back to our childhood, where both 90’s kids and millennials find themselves in a simulation? We’ve witnessed the return of childhood staples Barbie, the Fast and Furious franchise, and the Mission Impossible series. And now, to add to the mix, Taylor Swift has re-recorded her third studio album, “Speak Now,” which was her FIRST completely solo songwriting endeavour. This iconic album continues to serenade fans with timeless hits such as “Back to December” and “Sparks Fly,” (still our jams to this date)
The 22-track album dropped Thursday evening and Swift has taken to her social media to celebrate, It’s here. It’s yours, it’s mine, it’s ours. It’s an album I wrote alone about the whims, fantasies, heartaches, dramas and tragedies I lived out as a young woman between 18 and 20.”
However, what appears to be the ultimate gem for fans is the fact that the re-recorded album provides us with six previously unreleased songs from Taylor Swift’s personal vault.
The 6 Fresh Gems
Among the treasures found on “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version),” six songs that were never released before have made their debut. These include collaborations like “Electric Touch” featuring Fall Out Boy and “Castles Crumbling” featuring Hayley Williams from Paramore. The remaining tracks from the “From the Vault” collection are titled “When Emma Falls in Love,” “I Can See You,” “Foolish One,” and “Timeless.”
A Move To Reclaim Ownership Of Her Music
The rerelease comes as the pop queen’s move she has made to reclaim her artistic ownership of her art following Music executive Scooter Braun sketchy $300 million sale of all her original master recordings in 2020. Braun’s controversial sale of Swift’s masters sparked a public feud between the two and Taylor has expressed her side publicly, speaking about being extremely disturbed by it and how she wants to begin to own all her life’s work.
“This was the second time my music had been sold without my knowledge,” she said.
An Ode To Her Most Special Album
Apart from the musical and cultural considerations, the reality remains that Taylor Swift is re-recording this album in order to regain control of her own work, as she is doing with many of her other albums. However, it’s worth noting that this particular album holds a very special place in her heart as it was her first entirely self-written album and was celebrated for her speaking up about her journey of girlhood and the male figures in her life.
Some Noteworthy Changes
Even though the album features her highly acclaimed original tracks, she has made some changes to a few of the lyrics. Truly going back in time to ponder over her experiences she changed the lyrics in “Better Than Revenge” amid controversy that the original lyrics were “slut shaming”
Tweaked from, “She’s better known for the things that she does on the mattress” to “He was a moth to a flame, she was holding the matches.”
A Sweet Tribute To Her Friends
All 6 songs take us back to the 2000’s, jamming to her tunes with our girl friends, one particular song has fans speculating and connecting the dots. The song “When Emma Falls In Love” is being considered to be about her old friend, actress Emma Stone. Fans sharing how the timelines, references match to the time when Emma Stone was with her former boyfriend, Andrew Garfield.
Which of the 6 songs have you been listening to non stop? For us, I Can See You is the one!
