As the trailer for upcoming drama “Mein” drops, Twitter buzzes with excitement, applauding Wahaj Ali & Ayeza Khan while challenging the notion of forced marriage.

Mein is a creation of Big Bang Entertainment and is scheduled for broadcast on ARY Digital. The series is helmed by the director Badar Mehmood, who just wrapped up work on “Mujhe Pyaar Hua Tha,” and features the writing of Zanjabeel Asim, the mastermind behind “Pyar Kay Sadqay.” The talented cast comprises Wahaj Ali, Ayeza Khan, Azekah Danial, Shahzad Nawaz, Ijaz Aslam, Sabeena Syed, and Agha Mustafa Hasan.
Storyline of Mein
The captivating drama serial “Mein” invites us into the compelling world of Zaid and Mubashira, where power, social status, and a whirlwind of emotions collide! Bound by the sacred ties of marriage, their relationship appears fragile, and it becomes evident from the trailer that Zaid’s heart may long for another. Mubashira Jaffer, our fearless protagonist, is a pampered daughter who seems to fearlessly challenges conventions, and won’t take a backseat in the relationship. On the other hand, Zaid is a spirited lead, a privileged son who might have to struggle to make his marriage work due to his father’s insistence, for the sake of his family wealth & influence, which, his father threatens to take away if he walks out on his relationship.
As the story unfolds, will the earnest efforts of their families bring Mubashira and Zaid closer, or will they be compelled to give up? In the brief teaser, one could see that both characters seem to be string minded and hell bent on having their way – the “Mein” in their lives might supersede all else?
Will they preserve their ‘Mein’ or prioritize their families’ advice and the sanctity of a married bond.
Question on our minds (and drama fans)?
Why is the narrative regurgitating another forced marriage narrative? Ahem, didn’t we get over one with (partially) the same team in action?
How will the story play out differently and will the plot twists be relevant, refreshing and engaging enough to get us fully invested or, will it be a Wahaj Ali x Ayeza Khan fantasy that will push twitter trends every week to make us watch?
Agreed, performances promise to be a cut above, and why would we expect any less from these two leads, but let’s hope the execution, narrative and treatment of the same wows us as much as the promos!
P.S. Great to see Azekah Daniel back on screen!
Here’s hoping we have a blockbuster coming soon!
This is what Twitter is raving about after watching the trailer of Mein!
Wahaj Ali Shines As Zaid
Zaid: YE SATH ME HAI GUEST ROOM WAHAN CHALI JAO KYN K ME APNA KAMRA NAHI CHOR SAKTA! SAVAGE! WahajAli character is not in mood to give up his stuff this time like Murtasim did!
Best part is finally Wahaj’s ckt gets to throw tantrum at his biwi. And Badar is as always living upto the expectation with his absolutely bland, rukhi sukhi direction. I’m waiting to know which coloured filter he picks up this time.
You see all these reactions? That’s our Zaid’s doing. I won’t call him Meerab 2.0 because even Meerab offered the couch inside the room, Zaid darling directly directed her out of the room. oh Zaid, what you are about to do.
Ayeza Khan Rise As Fearless Mubashira
I am not a Ayeza Khan fan but it would be wrong if I won’t appreciate her acting here. She gonna slay for sure. I have seen her Ramzan dramas & I like her. Can’t wait to see her as Mubashira. Her in this character will be a treat to watch.
I don’t know what i want but I need Ayeza’s solo pics in each dress on her profile. I mean her styling is just superb MashaAllah.
Twitter Finds Shahzad Nawaz’s Role Hot
Ok..so the villain of the drama is Zaid’s father. Btw he’s hot. I’m liking him Someone get me married to him.
Forced Marriages Are Overrated Concept For Audience Now
Again, Force marriage but difference this No “manaing” officially wedded wife both have equal chance to ignore and challenge each other’s ego. Mein ki Jang gonna be very loud.
Forced marriage in Mein too. Someone save Wahaj from these force marriages. The guy canβt catch a break. Please let him fall in love and marry the women of his dreams.
