Jhok Sarkar is playing its cards well and we’re fully invested in a gripping tale of love, lust, betrayal, romance and heroics – what more could an audience want?

The episode paced a multitude of scenes, each carrying its own flavor, and not a single scene lost upon the viewers – each conversation held meaning and propelled the story forward. Jhok Sarkar scored a win for direction and storytelling in the latest episode!
Detective Work Well Done
The race to get to Aslam before ASP Arsalan interrogates him was gripping and handed a win in this round to team Peeral and Meeral. It was interesting how Meeral, despite being such a twisted, villainous character, felt guilty for killing Aslam – showing us that even the darkest souls carry emotion and regret! But now his open threat to Sassi has us fearing for her life – will she manage to escape his watch?
ASP Arsalan investigating the scene of the crime & pronouncing Aslam’s death to be a murder and not suicide was intelligent detective work – we expected nothing less from him.
The Lighter Side & Some Cute Love Feels
Jhok Sarkar juxtaposed the light side by depicting Jahan Dad’s reluctance to participate in the expedition, faking illness, while simultaneously playing agent to the Haveli folk. ASP Arsalan’s cryptic warning to him by showcasing Aslam’s death and how no one from the Haveli came forth to perform his final rites served as a warning to those loyal to the feudal (if Jahan Dad & Co. choose to take it).
Sassi’s realization that she has fallen for ASP Arsalan’s charm (who hasn’t), was a cute moment indeed. Her dreamy smile and mental replay of her meeting with Arsalan was what first love feels are made of. It certainly conveyed all the emotions we wanted to witness and in such a breezy moment – well played team Jhok Sarkar.
Noori’s Deep Messaging
“Baaghi honay ke liye kisi ko chaar jamaatein parhne ki haajat nahi hoti saaen. Baghaawat hamesha zulm ke khilaaf uthti hai. Taaleem toh bus uss baghaawat ko raasta dikha deti hai.” – Noori serves as the voice of conscience in Peeral’s life. Her deep, thought-provoking responses to his deep seated, unflinching feudal mindset are a good match, but is he really listening, and will it ever make him change his ways?
The Story Is Warming Up!
Meanwhile, conspiracy is afoot in the Peeral household. The two wives of Peeral have insidious plans for Noori and this might just test Peeral’s growing feelings for her as well – can he even bear the thought that she is harmed in anyway?
ASP Arsalan will now pursue the mysterious case of Shaukat’s disappearance. The inquiry might unlock many more secrets in the Peeral household, and the narrative is leading up to a fantastic climax that begun with the elopement of Noori and Shaukat right in the beginning.
