The First Thing He Did After His Return
He says, the very first thing he did was, he gave his daughter a very tight hug as he went home and annoyed her to no end. He says their entire day is usually based around their daughter as he takes care of her when his wife Maham works, so he missed her immensely.
Faizan also shared, how he was constantly scared, worried about his wife and child living in Karachi, thinking; “Allah na karay kuch hojaye, tou?”
He sadly revealed whenever something happened in an episode, people harassed his sister and wife and he shares he read such messages that literally made him think of filing a case. “But I chose not to. Humaray audience bohat invest kartay hai no doubt but at the end of the day they need to realise its a game show. But also mai nay itna expect nae kia tha! So many people supported me, yehi jeet hai meri.”
What Was Your Motivation When You Decided To This?
“For me, it was an experience I wanted to have, I think I was one of the first ones to be on board. I said yes in an instant, 5 minutes.
Faizan Sheikh
I wanted to see kya hota hai iss show mai, I saw other franchises around the world. Just in two days I realised there is no character you can play in the house, no script, you really have to be yourself!”
He also realised his shortcomings through his journey in the Tamasha house. “Mujhay apni short comings bohat clearly nazar aei, i realised alot of things, a lot of people who are close to me, told me they saw a change in me.”
Did It Impact His Mental Health?
“I was prepared and knew it would affect my mental health but I saw changes in myself in the first 2 weeks. Mujhay aisa laga jo mainay phone use karna chora, mera demagh mujhay aisa khula khula feel hua, logo kay behvaiour clearly nazar ana shuru huye. My focus changed.
Logo na kaha kay mai baataay idhar udhar karta houn but jab app 14 log ghar mai hai aur kuch karnay ko nae hai, tou app phir aur kya karay gay?
Faizan Sheikh
People were intimidated by me in the Tamasha house, I am generally a reserved person. My wife did my counselling before going, telling me I needed to break ice with people. Maybe I came off as a strong person. I stayed neutral the first 2 weeks but then I realised there was no point so I then took sides. Nobody was breaking ice with me but as my predictions came right, people started talking to me.
I felt Junaid is just like me, If i go 5 years back in time, he is just like me. He has a daughter, so do I, I struggled, so did he. So meri aur Junaid ke achi bonding hogai. With Aruba also, I knew her from before. I had worked with her for 50/60 days.
He Asks Why Was His Daughter & Wife Visiting A Problem?
“When Maham and Hadia came, it was a pleasant surprise right in the middle of the show. But logo ko usay bhi masla tha, they said she gave me hints but she said to me I only wanted to caution you and we obviously could not cheat. Agha nay bhi akay Ali bhai ko hints diye, Umer ko bhi call aei, Natasha ko bhi ghar say call aei, Aruba ke beti nay tou akay youtube kay comments bhi bataye, tou issay kyun masla tha?”
Did Aruba’s Win Surprise Him? Who Was The Winner For Him?
He says Aruba’s win did not surprise him but for him the show already reached its end as the top 5 were announced. He added on “Aruba deserved her win but jo asal jeet hui hai wo Neha ke hui hai because she was a newcomer, we all were already acknowledged faces. I actually gave her alot of lectures on this and she really appreciated because we got off on the wrong foot initially.”
Hats Off To ARY & The Tamasha Contestants
He appreciated Team ARY for pulling it off so well and coming up with tasks till the end for even the 5 people left. He also appreciated himself and the contestants, adding:
“We entertained people for 50 days, its not an easy thing to come up with something new everyday.”

The Incident That Hurt Him
When Rabia Mughni, Editor, FUCHSIA asked if he felt hurt when Aruba took his name for elimination over Junaid’s, he said: “Yes it did but I was only sad for about an hour and a half but I thought she would have saved me because thats what I would have done. What hurt even more was she had no reason, no point and no justification for it. Tou phir iss dosti ka kya faida?”
Who Was The Best Wazir?
He opined: “Natasha killed it, being a wazir. Usko toxic bana dia gaya tha by the contestants. People learnt what wazarat is from her. Usko best wazir ka award bilkul sahi mila. She taught everyone about discipline, khanay ke tameez, how to consider everyone’s cause. Yes maybe her way to go about it was a bit harsh because it was being too principled for people.”
He was very positive about his journey and shared he thinks Tamasha will only come back bigger and better next season!
