I am told that in order to avoid a Shadow Ban, I must publish regular posts in between. And talk about the weather, flowers, mountains, fresh air and gratitude for being alive and healthy, with my loved ones by my side.

I am told that prayers are better than posting in solidarity. That one must not listen to the news all the time, one might experience burnout, which is not a good thing really. I wonder what people do when they don’t have time or a place to take a breather and avoid a burnout?
What I Wonder…
I wonder what people do when they ARE the news? I wonder why the world has flipped. Why we can’t call a spade a spade. Why everyone is so scared to let their voices be heard. I wonder if these times will give rise to more Rights Movements, another moment in History when humanity failed humanity? I wonder if, as I write this, how many fewer people, women, and children, will inhabit this planet.
Not out of choice. But because they didn’t have the luxury to take a breather. They certainly experienced burnout. I wonder if the other side experiences burnout too? The ones who are handing out the burnout in generous doses. Or is it just a special term meant for special people like us. You and me.
NOT children of a Lesser God.
That title is reserved for the choicest among us. Those whose resilience, courage and stories will fill our History books for millions to read. In another time and age. When we will be told, Humanity failed us. Yet again.
History Repeats Itself
History repeats itself. Yet again. I am told that in order to avoid a shadow ban, I must publish regular posts in between. And talk about the weather, flowers, mountains, fresh air and gratitude for being alive and healthy, with my loved ones by my side. I wonder if I whisper a silent prayer, the fragrance of that mountain air, the flowers, the sun, the smell of a loved one by my side, can reach across the miles to touch them too.

No hashtags. I wonder if the shadow ban works without them too?
So next time you feel your social media posts are not getting much traction, you’ve been too busy using your right to speak up, voice concern or express your point of view, just remember to take a breather, pause, and simply, talk about the weather instead of … Palestine.
It’s THAT simple!
