22 Qadam dropped an intense episode last night. While we weren’t over the sadness that was Ammo and Fari, we got a shocker as Junaid in hospital was a truly heart-breaking moment.
An Outpouring Of Fan Emotion
No wonder fans and audiences alike, felt for both characters – Ammo, for just wanting what every other girl wants in Pakistan, the simple realization of her simple dreams. And Junaid, for losing out on the biggest moment in his career, and possibly, life: “Keh do yeh khwaab hai” was the manifestation of our darkest fears. And just like Junaid, fans too, wished it was just a really horrific nightmare.
Ammo In It With Junaid – The Pain was Real!
Ammo too, in her unfortunate turn of events, caught our sympathy. Her pain mirrored the pain of every girl who might have experienced similar pressure, humiliation and ultimately, a sense of unfairly imposed shame and public embarrassment. Needless to say, both Wahaj Ali and Kinza Razzak performed their scenes sensitively, impactfully and so very relateably that our hearts reached out to their pain as we sat, in utter disbelief, hoping things might look up eventually, but certainly not sometime. soon.

And that’s it from 22 Qadam! The episode proved to be a banger, far from the triumphant victory of the Ragra 11 yet, as they emerge, heady from victory, reality strikes hard, really hard! While our hearts go out to them, we would like to appreciate the script for keeping us fully invested, not letting go of the pulsating heartbeat that is Junaid, Fari and Ammo. Even Lisa had our hearts, as well as Fari’s dad!
