Winter calls for warm, crispy parathas but we like our parathas with a twist! We tried out the Pizza & Nutella paratha from Cafe Clifton and here’s our review….

Winters call for warm, crispy, filled parathas and we like our parathas with a little twist! And that’s why we started our December with some paratha goodness.
When the team found themselves suddenly craving for Pizza paratha on a chilly Friday morning, one of our team members highly recommended Cafe Clifton as the perfect spot to satisfy our cravings.
And it really for once, didn’t take everybody else long enough to get on board! So we ordered from the famous Cafe Clifton known for its chai, rolls and more! Located in Saba commercial. The Pizza paratha was priced at Rs. 550 and the Nutella Paratha was priced at Rs. 400. We ordered through Foodpanda and along with the delivery, we paid Rs. 1089 in total!
Parathas Are Really Just Desi Folks’ Weakness!
Parathas really are us desi folks’ weakness…warm, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, buttery and oh so delicious. And when it’s filled with cheese and chicken, what more could you ask for?
The pizza paratha and Nutella paratha from Cafe clifton gave us the full winter vibes! For the complete Karachi winter experience, we suggest pairing them with a steaming cup of coffee or tea during winter evenings, long drives, or simply while enjoying quality time with friends and family.
We Tried The Pizza & Nutella Parathas From Cafe Clifton
Pizza Paratha
Now for the Pizza paratha, we have tried a couple before so here is what we expected: A crispy yet soft paratha, loads of cheese, mushrooms, olives, vegetables with a distinct flavor of pizza sauce.
What we got? Cafe Clifton’s pizza paratha was rolled the legit desi way, you could very well see the knots and rolls around the edges. The paratha was not too thin and not too thick but the filling was a bit too much. Primarily consisting of marinated shredded chicken in pizza sauce, it lacked enough vegetables, cheese, mushrooms and olives. We barely got a few bits of cheese or olives. Though the spice level was quite balanced, we missed the cheese! How is a Pizza paratha complete without enough cheese? It was really just a lot of chicken! So while the team remained divided over whether it really did taste like a Pizza paratha or not, the taste sure was on point.
Nutella Paratha
The Nutella paratha, too was thin, crispy yet soft! There was a very even layer of Nutella and the best part is the chocolate spread which we assume was actually, Nutella because it tasted so good and just like the original Nutella flavor which essentially means its good quality chocolate. The perfect amount of sweet and savoury.
The entire team devoured it within moments. Despite initial reservations from some team members about the unconventional pairing of Nutella and paratha, we can confidently assert that it’s the ultimate combination for those yearning for cozy, satisfying parathas and dealing with a serious sweet tooth!
Do We Recommend It?
Yes, apart from missing the cheese and olives etc. we did actually enjoy both flavours of the parathas. So, nevertheless, it proved to be a delightful choice—ideal for winter night drives, midnight snack cravings, and even as an adventurous breakfast option.
