Can love make you take an innocent life? Will Channar Khan give up Barlas’ life? Zamda has no idea how she is ripping the Duraab family apart. Khaie is not just about bloodshed, it goes deeper into revenge, love, family relations and human behaviour in the face of a challenge.

Mafia Wars
You can probably call Khaie a local version of an OTT drama based on Mafia wars. Where a clan has sway over an entire area and no one has the courage to stand up against them, they call the shots and do whatever they want. They rule by power and perpetrating fear, exactly what Duraab Khan is doing.
Pamir’s death though expected, was the saddest part this week. He became the collateral damage of Duraab and Channar’s revenge games.
Cinematography Matches Storytelling
Khaie is also taking cinematography, camera angles and script execution to another level. The shots fit the storytelling accurately, adding to the suspense or the emotional depth of a scene while retaining the entertainment value.
Did Zamda feel bad for Pamir’s death for a second, or was that flashback showing us her remembering the promise she made to her mother about killing everyone in Duraab’s family to avenge her father and brothers’ deaths.
The meeting that Duraab conducts with his sons showed his shrewdness and far-sightedness. Instead of taking a decision on his own, he brings them face to face with each other, counting on their human emotions. The most surprising move was Channar offering Barlas as a revenge-kill to Badshah Khan. One would have expected him to deny everything, take the brutal path of fighting with his brother or not bring Barlas back, but he has really summoned him back. Will Badshah’s heart melt? Will he give in and show mercy towards Barlas?
Secret Moves?
Is Channar planning to really give up Barlas, his son, or will he take Badshah’s life to save Barlas?
The drama also shows that despite loving Barlas, Apana is not able to accept Pamir’s death easily and the realization that Barlas has, in fact, killed him. She is struggling with this dark truth.
Storytelling
It is interesting to see that while Zamda was the main focus of the tragedy initially, the story has now moved on to Channar, Duraab and Barlas. We are really invested in how each character’s journey will play out. What will Barlas’ fate be? Will he be killed by Badshah? Khaie shows that a cleverly written and executed script will highlight various characters without losing the main essence of the story.
To sum it up, in expect that next episode, the Duraab Khan family is about to lose another member, but who will it be? Give us your best guess in comments.
