The most iconic character of the OG movie of the 2000’s, Elle Woods is now coming back on our screens, in a prequel! Amazon Prime just announced the prequel, ‘Elle’

If you’re a 90’s baby, there’s no way you haven’t watched Legally Blonde! Elle Woods’ outrageously pink journey to becoming a lawyer just to win back her ex-boyfriend was one full of determination, a bit too much pink, fashion, and breaking the stereotype that blondes can’t be smart. It’s such a classic, heartfelt chick flick with a profound meaning and message. We clearly never forgot Elle Woods, and her return to screens, and now that most of us are adults, it feels all the more special, like coming full circle.

Reese Witherspoon
“I truly couldn’t be more excited about this series! Fans will get to know how Elle Woods navigated her world as a teenager with her distinct personality and ingenuity, in ways that only our beloved Elle could do. What could be better than that?!”. “I’m extremely grateful to the incredible teams at Prime Video and Hello Sunshine – along with our amazing writer Laura Kittrell – for making this dream of mine come true. ‘Legally Blonde’ is back!”
The Originals Worth Revisiting Or Discovering Now For First Time Watchers
Legally Blonde originally captured hearts in 2001 with its tale of a sorority girl who follows her ex-boyfriend to law school, only to discover her true potential and prove to others that she is more than just her looks. The success of the first film led to a sequel, Legally Blonde 2, in 2003, where Elle Woods heads to Washington, D.C. to join a Representative’s staff and work on passing a bill to ban animal testing. In 2009, a less prominent and perhaps lesser-known follow-up was released – Moving from England to California, the youngest cousins of Elle Woods must defend themselves when their schools reigning forces turn on the girls and try to frame them for a crime.
Currently, Legally Blonde 3 is reportedly in the works, with Mindy Kaling and Dan Goor crafting the screenplay.
