“Leech” is an upcoming Pakistani movie that diverges significantly from what we’ve been seeing on our silver screens for the past decade. It might just be the watch for thrill-seekers and psychological crime enthusiasts.

This Eid, forget about the conventional storylines of rom-coms, dramas, love stories, and desi comic shenanigans. Pakistani cinema is entering a new age, fully embracing the niche and much-awaited genre of psychological crime thrillers.

The film stars Naveed Raza and Mahsam Raza alongside Rashid Farooqi, Kinza Malik, Asfand Yar, Shahzad Ali Khan, Mehboob Sultan, Faisal Naqvi, Adeela Khan, Faheema Awan, and Zafar Khichi. A Chilling Psychological Crime Thriller
“Leech” explores human greed for power and humans’ struggle against the laws of nature. This chilling psychological crime thriller is set to delve into what greed, the hunger for power, corruption does to humans, packed with action, suspense, mystery, spooky thrills, jump scares, and jaw-dropping stunts.
The trailer gives us a peek into a story around a revolt and resistance, questioning whether it’s always about fighting for what is right. Is the battle between good and evil inevitable? At the heart of the film is a determined, intense special police officer, portrayed by Naveed Raza, who is committed to ending the murderer’s ruthless spree. This murderer by the looks of it, however, is no ordinary killer. He is a psychologically disturbed individual, played by Mahsam Raza, making his debut on the silver screen. But what drives him? Is he avenging his loved ones or causing pain to those who hurt him?
Powerful VFX & Visuals
The trailer for the film also showcases powerful performances by some of the finest veteran actors in the industry. The movie is set to take us through the events that will demystify this complex, leadless, and challenging case. Each murder in the movie seems to be different and that alone will keep us curious. Are you ready to experience absolutely spine-chilling cinema like never before? With powerful VFX and visuals akin to a blockbuster, we think this watch will keep us hooked and unable to flinch.
For all thrill seekers and avid psychological crime watchers, this is your kind of film. Will you be watching it in cinemas soon?
The film Leech will be showing in cinemas on 9th August 2024 worldwide.
