The subtleness with which Sheheryar Munawar plays Salaar in Radd makes you develop a soft corner for Salaar, always rooting for him. The slight change of expressions as Zain tells him “I know Eman more than you”, the way he asks Eman never to leave him… his performance at these and many other moments is a heart winner.
5. Sehar Khan as Deebu in Jafaa
Sehar Khan proves she doesn’t always need dialogues to portray an emotion. Her portrayal of shock and disbelief upon seeing Moiz playing cricket was impactful and made viewers go through an emotional journey.
6. Yumna Zaidi as Zarnab in Gentleman
What a beautiful performance by Zarnab as she struggles through sorting out her emotions and worrying about Munna. Yumna’s portrayal of Zarnab’s self-respect, her soft heartedness, her strength to say what is right, and most importantly, her relationship with her father which makes her what she is, makes you a fan of Zarnab.
7. Saba Hamid as Noor Jahan
Saba Hameed as Noor Jahan is such an interesting watch. You don’t know the extent of her brutality to get what she wants. The way she controls her sons, her aura, her expressions, everything is so on point to give us this formidable character of Noor Jahan.
