Mohib Mirza AKA Hassan From Jafaa Speaks To FUCHSIA!

Mohib Mirza is a seasoned Pakistani actor, director, and producer who has been a prominent figure in the entertainment industry for over two decades. Known for his versatile roles and powerful performances, he has starred in several critically acclaimed projects like Deedan, Dushman-e-Jaan, Shehr-e-zaat, Razia and currently on-air Jafaa. His compelling screen presence and ability to portray a range of characters have made him a household name. Over the years, Mohib has continuously evolved as an artist, proving his talent in both television and film.

Today, he’s here with us to discuss a variety of topics, including some exclusive insights into Jafaa and much more!

Mohib Mirza On Hassan’s Journey In Jafaa

Mohib Mirza feels that Hassan’s character in Jafaa has been well-understood by viewers, with no misconceptions about his intentions or actions. He explained that Hassan’s journey has clearly shown his struggles, particularly his mental instability and his involvement in an abusive relationship. While the audience has grasped these aspects of the character, the real question now is what lies ahead for Hassan. This growing curiosity stems from the drama’s ability to effectively depict Hassan’s state of mind and the challenges he faces.

Ye bachon ko samjhana kay beta chori karoge tou chori hojaegi, burai karoge tumhari burai hogi, gheebat karoge tou gheebat hogi, ye samjhana kis qadar zaruri hai.

Mohib Mirza.

He also emphasized the theme of karma, or Makafat-e-Amal, as a key part of Hassan’s storyline. Although Hassan has committed certain actions, he has not yet fully realized the consequences that await him. This idea of how one’s actions come back to them is central to his character’s future, adding depth and intrigue to the plot. The drama’s portrayal of these themes leaves the audience eager to see how Hassan’s choices will shape his fate in the upcoming episodes.

How Did Mohib Get The Script For Jafaa & What Was His Reaction?

Mohib Mirza shared that Jafaa had been in discussion for quite some time before he got the script. Initially, after receiving it, the project took around two years to come to fruition. He explained that while he didn’t say no right away, he read the character of Numair first and was unsure about committing. The project went through several directors, and for a long period, he didn’t receive any updates. Eventually, he was called in to meet Danish Nawaz, who convinced him to take on the project.

I’m glad main ne ye kia. Jaise Razia ek bohat zaruri kahani thi, aese hi Jafaa was very important.

Mohib Mirza

Upon re-reading the script, Mohib noticed significant changes made by Momina Duraid and Faisal Manzoor after consulting with Sameera Fazal, which piqued his interest further. He found the revisions intriguing and decided to proceed with the project. Reflecting on it, he felt Jafaa was an important story to tell and was glad he took on the role.

How Did The Execution of Jafaa’s Key Scenes Impact The Story?

Mohib Mirza credited the director and the entire execution team for handling Jafaa’s pivotal scenes so well. He emphasized how the director’s vision and Mawra’s performance in this intense scene added to its impact. Despite Mohib’s minimal physical involvement—where he only held her hair—the scene’s effect was powerful, thanks to Mawra’s acting and the team’s execution. He also highlighted the use of visual effects, makeup, and Zara’s character’s entry, which further elevated the scene.

Thappar para Hassan ko or wo wahan parna zaruri tha. In sab ka 100% credit Danish Nawaz ka hai.

Mohib Mirza

Mohib expressed how important the buildup of Hassan’s character has been, making the audience believe he is capable of anything. He appreciated the director’s attention to detail in shaping the environment and the characters, ensuring that nothing was glorified, especially when portraying sensitive or toxic dynamics. He felt that this restraint in direction avoided romanticizing an otherwise troubling character. He was especially pleased that the production team chose not to glorify Hassan’s wrongdoings but instead focused on presenting a more grounded and realistic portrayal of the events.

Should A Woman Come Back After Being Slapped?

Not on!

Mohib Mirza

Mohib Mirza discussed the idea of taking revenge and how it stems from human nature. He reflected on childhood experiences of being slapped in school and how those experiences triggered a desire for retaliation. He emphasized that people often respond to action with a reaction. In Hassan’s case, he noted that the slap from Zara represented a significant moment and indeed, an important one.

He further highlighted that the real issue lies in parenting and lack of communication. Instead of using violence to convey a message, dialogue should serve as the first approach. Mohib mentioned that if parents raise children in environments that nurture communication, they can reduce the inclination towards violence. He emphasized the importance of addressing these issues early in life before they escalate.
