2025 seems all about fresh faces, new talents as a few star kids gear up for their Bollywood debut. Get the insider scoop!

Bollywood star kids are like sequels—some live up to the hype, while others leave you wondering, who greenlit this? Take Junaid Khan, who stepped into the spotlight with Netflix’s Maharaj, or Khushi Kapoor and Suhana Khan, who made waves (or ripples, depending on whom you ask) with The Archies. With big surnames come bigger expectations; it’s a tricky mix of privilege and pressure. Fans either cheer them on or, let’s face it, tear them apart. Love them or loathe them, star kids will always be center stage in Bollywood. The real question is: Do they have what it takes to carve their own path?
2025 promises to be a year of fresh faces and exciting debuts. From the children of Bollywood legends to new talent carving their own paths, the upcoming projects featuring these young stars are already generating a lot of buzz. Here’s a look at the young, hopefully talented debutants we can’t wait to see in action.
1. Aryan Khan
Even though we had hoped to wish him onscreen, Aryan Khan is gearing up for his directorial debut. The highly anticipated project is set to release in 2025 on Netflix. His debut project has become the talk of the town (yes, the internet) and has been described as ‘thoroughly entertaining’ by Monika Shergill, Vice President of Content at Netflix India.
Aryan’s father and the King of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan, has called the series ‘all heart, all hustle, and a whole lot of entertainment.’ He took it to Instagram and X too, to share his excitement.
What To Expect
The project is produced by Gauri Khan under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment. The upcoming series takes us into the glamorous, yet cutthroat world of Bollywood. It follows he journey of an outsider, experiencing all the highs, lows, good, and bad of the industry. It has drama, comedy, and offers a raw view — it’s a whole package. We can’t wait to see what Aryan has in store for us!
2. Ibrahim Ali Khan
Could Ibrahim Ali Khan be this generation’s ‘heartthrob’? Yes! He’s got the looks, the charm, the wit — he’s basically a Xerox copy of Saif. With both parents, Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, having successful careers, expectations are high for Ibrahim. The internet loves his playful personality, antics with the paps, and videos with his sister, Sara Ali Khan.
Coming to The Project
Talking about Sarzameen, it stars Ibrahim, along with Kajol and Prithviraj Sukumaran. It’s a thriller that promises entertainment, a fresh perspective, and, oh, did we mention, there’s a hint of mystery too? Sarzameen is directed by Kayoze Irani and produced by Karan Johar under Dharma Productions.
Will the project live up to its hype? Will Ibrahim live up to our expectations? The answers await.
3. Shanaya Kapoor
Shanaya Kapoor has garnered a good fan following. She’s recently been on the radar for her effortless and chic style. Shanaya was initially supposed to debut with Karan Johar’s ‘Bedhadak,’ but sadly, due to undisclosed circumstances, the project was axed. She is now working on Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyaan, alongside the 12th Fail actor, Vikrant Massey.
What To Expect
The upcoming film is directed by Santoshi Singh and produced by Mini Films. It explores modern-day love affairs — love, romance, ‘ghosting’ — yep, it’s all there. Something contemporary with which many can resonate. As an audience, we hope for soulful soundtracks and maybe a good dance number.
P.S. Just the name Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyaan takes us back to Aishwarya and Salman Khan’s Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam — classic Bollywood.
4. Ahaan Panday
Here’s a first thought — Ahaan’s got the old-school, nostalgic look and charm. Chikki Panday’s son and Ananya Panday’s cousin has quite the social media presence and following, despite being off the social media scene, in preparation for his upcoming project. He’s stolen our hearts with his posts, guitar-playing skills, and fun-loving persona.
Drum Roll Please
Ahaan is gearing up for a love story. The title of the project is under wraps, but here’s what we know so far. His debut film is directed by Mohit Suri under the flagship of Yash Raj Films. We have high hopes, as YRF has given us great love stories — from Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi to Saathiya, and countless others. Will this upcoming project go down as a YRF hit in the books?
5. Rasha Thadani
Rasha Thadani is the daughter of Raveena Tandon, who’s given us many hits in the 90s. Rasha holds a black belt in Taekwondo — talk about girl power! And because of this, we hope to see her in action-packed roles in the future.
About The Project
Rasha is making her Bollywood debut with Azaad, alongside Ajay Devgn and Aaman Devgan. The film is directed by Abhishek Kapoor. The upcoming January 2025 release promises action, thrills, and much more.
Bonus Project We Have Our Eyes On
Khushi Kapoor and Junaid Khan are all set for a romantic drama, which is set for a February 2025 release. It’s a Zee Studios release, under Phantom Studios and AGS entertainment. While we await the trailer, check out the details below.
As these fresh faces step into the limelight, the excitement surrounding their debuts continues to build. Whether it’s the glitzy world of Bollywood or the intense drama of thrillers and action-packed narratives, these newcomers bring with them a blend of talent and legacy. The year 2025 is set to be an exciting one, and we’ll be watching these star kids very closely. Will they be like Ranbir Kapoor and prove themselves in the Bollywood arena, or will the internet label them as ‘nepo kids? The answer lies in 2025.
