Sehar Khan as Rabi and Shuja Asad as Sonu Danger make Tan Man Neel O Neel a fabulous and heart winning watch. Mustafa Afridi proves that you can entertain audiences and still give them a lot to learn. The struggling lives of a YouTuber, a male dancer, men dealing with sexual assault and the ups and downs in a friendship, are the main themes of the drama.

Sehar Khan Nailing Rabi
Seher Khan is absolutely amazing as Rabi, the way she is delivering the character and incorporating a range of diverse traits in her personality deserves appreciation. Rabi is fearless when Kami threatens her and accuses her, she feels for Sonu and is there for him when he is faced with a dilemma. And last but not the least, she is her mother’s best friend and her ability to not give up and keep planning creative ways to promote her social media platforms is just so endearing.
Shuja Asad As Sonu Playing It Subtle & Nailing It Too
Shuja Asad as Sonu Danger represents the softer side of male heroes. He admits how he is not capable of standing up for anyone or protecting anyone. But deep down, he tries to be there for Moon in his own way. Yes, he should have stayed behind and stood by Moon at the time, but later, he never left Moon alone. That was his way of showing his support. Shuja’s performance is mention-worthy and the best part is how he is keeping it at a relatable and subtle level of emotional intensity.
While Rabi is all energy and planning, Sonu is calm, and more realistic. They kind of compliment each other.
Moon’s Trauma, A Heartbreaking Story
Moon is not just undergoing the trauma of a sexual assault but also dealing with the sad reality that his friends weren’t there for him and later, not realising what exactly happened to him. He must be feeling so worthless and questioning everything around him. Ali Ammar essays Moon in a finely-balanced, sensitive performance and it is heartbreaking to watch his pain.
Great Messages
The episode taught all girls watching the drama how they can be independent and go out on their own, but they must take precautionary and safety measures. Most importantly, there is no shame in doing anything that will ensure your safety. Do not be embarrassed to do what is your right.
Kudos to the entire team – Mustafa Afridi, Saife Hasan, Sultana Siddiqui and HUM TV for raising this important issue in a sensitive manner and highlighting the journey friends go through in friendship. What it means to be a true friend.
Friendship Goals
We are glad that Rabi made Sonu realise he must talk to Moon, and he must do something about his pain. Maybe now Rabi and Sonu will team up to raise this issue on social media.
Kami is insecure and losing it, but he is also underestimating Rabi. She will likely not tolerate him threatening her or attacking Sonu.
We have seen Usman Javed in a negative role earlier in Jhok Sarkar. We hope our directors and drama creators would stop typecasting actors with great potential.
What is the story behind Rabi’s mother and father’s relationship? We are curious to find out.
The cinematography is great to watch and showing the dance practice in detail also added to the visual experience.
