Apana would, of course, be wearing the earrings Barlas gifted her, and as for Barlas—well, all he really needs is his signature shawl. But the honors go to none other than Bisma and Asim in Qarz-e-Jaan—with Bisma as the reluctant one and Asim matching her pace. Yet, with all the matchmaking happening around them (without their knowledge, of course), we’d say this one hits the spot.
The setting? Bisma’s terrace—the one place she escapes to for a breather. And Asim? He’ll be there, handing her a photo album with that picture of her—the one from the time he called her his Bisma. Oh, how romantic. Maybe, just maybe, it’ll nudge her memory in reverse, bringing back a little of her old spirit.
Of course, Bisma will be ready to bolt the second she senses Bakhtiar and his mom anywhere near. But Asim?
