While Parwarish has given us so much to talk about, it also delivered some of the best performances – and last night, Samar Jafri hands down took the screen all to himself.

When Wali finds Boss dead, everything changes – his expressions, his body language, the silence in his eyes. The pain, the sorrow, the heartbreak – it all spoke volumes without him even saying a word. Losing someone who gave you the most meaningful advice of your life, who stood by you in your darkest moments, who believed in your dreams and gave them life – that kind of loss cuts deep.
That mentor is now gone. And Samar Jafri delivered that moment with a performance that left jaws on the floor.
What followed – the scene at the graveyard – was one of the hardest goodbyes we’ve ever witnessed on screen. The denial, the disbelief, and still… the painful acceptance that you’ll never see or hear that person again. Wali’s mind is full of memories – every word Boss ever said echoes in his thoughts. The flashbacks, the emotions, the silence – everything hit hard. The visuals said everything that words couldn’t.
Viewers were stunned by Samar Jafri’s powerful performance – and many took to Twitter/X to share their thoughts. Here’s what they had to say:
samar jafri’s acting leaves me stunned every single time. the way he portrayed these scenes left me with goosebumps. he really is one of the finest stars of this industry — a wonderful singer, an outstanding actor, and a beautiful songwriter. #parwarish #samarjafri
This was brilliant! #Parwarish Wali’s sudden awareness of JB’s arrival, eyes carrying grief at the same time reluctance to jb’s presence in his life, picking up the soil from boss’s graveyard and rubbing it, accepting boss as a father figure.
The change in expression on seeing Boss lying lifeless…the lone tear, the way he fell numb. He knew this day would come, yet couldn’t accept Boss was gone. As if, with his loss, Wali lost a part of himself. Samar Jafri, the actor, never fails to impress! #Parwarish #SamarJafri
no matter how they frame Jahangir’s redemption, for me it’ll always come back to this graveyard scene cause the silence, the rage & wali placing earth from boss’s grave on his chest. Aamir Naqvi wasn’t just a mentor. He was the one who truly shaped him #Parwarish
samar jafri, you’re an exceptional actor. — #parwarish
this scene was heartbreaking but so powerful from the way samar expressed wali’s inner thoughts just through his eyes and expressions #Parwarish
Samar was exceptional here. Not easy for a young artist like him to deliver such an emotion without any dialogues that too in front of an actor like Nauman ijaz. One of his best performance imo. #parwarish
Parwarish will be drawing to a close with its final episode airing next week – and it’s hard to believe it’s almost over. This drama has given us so much, so many emotions to feel, and performances that will stay with us for a long time. While it’s sad to say goodbye, there’s also hope – hope that we’ll see more meaningful and powerful stories aptly reflecting Gen Z challenges. And as for Samar Jafri, we certainly want to see more of him on screen. His talent deserves more stories, more characters, and much more love from audiences everywhere.
