1. Javed Sheikh as Rafiq in Jama Taqseem
Javed Sheikh Sahib is a legend and whatever we say won’t be enough. He wins us and completely wows with a great performance as the father who is broken by his son’s behaviour. Absolutely love his performance.
2. Rushna Shahzaib as Kiran in Case No. 9
A great performance, especially for a debut project by Rushna Shahzaib. The confusion and dilemma of a wife is well portrayed and you can see how her mind is totally consumed by the conflicting thoughts and realities around her.
3. Wahaj Ali as Ali in JKSUS
A performance that brings a smile on your face and makes you realise what an absolute treat it is watch Wahaj in a comic role, something we havent seen in a long time. One particular scene where he proposes to Nadia is a great watch and certainly entertaining.
4. Seher Khan as Khushi in JKSUS
Really impressive performance as Seher Khan depicts the unwavering resolve of Khushi to marry Ali. It must not be easy to shoot that scene and deliver an expressive performance. A big shout out to her.
5. Romaisa Khan as Nadia in JKSUS
Romaisa Khan is delivering her character with ease and comfort. The expressions, the body language and the tone, everything is in sync to give us this unique character – Silly yet with a clever mind.
6. Saba Qamar as Malika in Pamaal
The portrayal of a newly married wife oscillating between the extreme emotions of her husband is so relatable and breaks your heart. Saba Qamar delivers her role with subtlety yet passion that adds a uniqueness to Malika’s character.
7. Haris Waheed as Anas in Pamaal
The heartbroken guy who is trying to come to terms with the reality of his cousin’s marriage is mention-worthy. He is emotional and lost and maybe unrealistically hoping that her marriage does not work out.
8. Usman Mukhtar as Raza in Pamaal
Usman Mukhtar depicts the guy who shows extreme emotions and expressions. But at the same time, his actions make you forget all that side of him and you wonder if he can really change. It is a realistic and accurate portrayal of many such men.
9. Salma Zafar as Geeti in Pamaal
What a heartwarming performance by Salma Zafar as she gives a reality check to Malika, her daughter. Her facial expressions and the emotions in her voice, everything just hits hard and makes you shed a tear as you listen to the reality she is stating to her daughter.
