Sidra and Zeeshan need therapy for sure. Rashida makes you realise how important it is to educate and give confidence to women so they can take the right decisions for their children. The million-dollar question is: why are the brothers not in touch at all? We are also sad to see Zubia and Asher going back to their house. Is Qais hiding meetings or calls with his college friend Asifa from Laila?

Rashida is one character for whom the audiences felt sympathy, but now she is really testing everyone’s patience. Where Rashida’s decision to marry Sidra to Ejaz is really frustrating, one cannot ignore the fact that this is because of her past experiences. Because of her financial status and lack of education, she felt she was always overpowered and looked down upon by others. She feels Sidra’s education will give the same kind of edge to her over Ejaz. Being someone with a weak will and less clarity, she is terrified by “Log kya kahengey” about what happened to Sidra and is desperate to just marry her off. The fact that Sidra can study and carve out her own future hasn’t crossed her mind. She is just looking for an easy way out for herself and doesn’t want to deal with any more challenges. Rashida probably represents many mothers who ignore what is truly best for their daughters, in pursuit of society’s superficial standards of right and wrong.

The worst was her discrediting Sidra’s reaction in front of Ejaz. No matter what her own emotional baggage and what she is going through, Rashida cannot undermine or ignore what Sidra said, even if she realised it was an overreaction, especially after all that Sidra has been through. Sidra needs to know that her parents believe her over everyone else. Seeking therapy might help Sidra overcome her hostility, where she is explained with kindness that not every man is Zeeshan.

Faisal is facing the same fate despite being a man. His parents have their own agenda and are using him to achieve the same. What he wants or whom he likes doesn’t matter.

Why did Qais not tell Laila that he had gone to meet Asifa, or that it was her call to whom he said, “I will call later”? Oh Qais, you will never change. Communication and honesty are the most important things between a couple, and Qais is hiding things from Laila. If she finds out, it will become a big issue. Men often do that. Fearing a strong reaction from their wives, they hide their interactions with a female friend or a colleague even though there’s nothing to hide.

Hameed is completely losing it. Things are slipping out of his control. Nighat should probably handle the situation a bit better and speak to her family to give more time to Hameed, or ask Hameed what the real issue is. It looks like the communication between the two is missing, so she has no idea what is going on. Now things have become so bad that Hameed has uttered one talaq to her, the reality of which has not hit Hameed yet.

Why are the brothers not in touch with each other? No matter what, they can at least drop a call to each other sometimes. But perhaps that is a relatable reflection of how Nudrat is the one keeping in touch with everyone – the connection between all four siblings.

The drama clarifies that the reason the father is not letting Majeed return is because he wants Majeed to prosper and be successful and not leave things halfway.

Laila’s parents left, leaving everyone sad. Now Qais’ mother also wants to go back. Both sets of parents have learnt from each other.

The drama keeps offsetting old-school thoughts and new ideologies on every topic, like pregnancy and how much a pregnant woman should eat, the conversation between Shahida and Zubia, and how they approach the same situation from different perspectives.
