Faiza Hasan – many of us still fondly remember her as the unforgettable Burns Road ki Neelofar from the cult classic Burns Road Ki Neelofar. With a career spanning over three decades, Hasan has portrayed a wide range of characters across television, theatre, and film, earning admiration for her versatility and commanding screen presence. From comedic roles to intense, layered performances, she has consistently proven her ability to bring depth and authenticity to every character she takes on.

Now, she’s back on our screens as Aroosa in Tum Larkay Bhi Na – a role that once again showcases her knack for portraying strong, memorable women. We got the opportunity to sit down with the seasoned actor to talk about her experience on the drama and much more.

Did Faiza Hasan Always Want To Become An Actor?

Faiza Hasan shared that becoming an actor was not something she had planned from the beginning. In fact, she described herself as quite “clueless” during her younger years, trying different things while continuing her studies. She worked a few jobs along the way – teaching at a school for some time and more while studying.

Acting came into the picture rather unexpectedly when someone suggested she get some pictures clicked and submit them to an agency. She followed the advice, landed an advertisement, and soon realized it was a convenient job that allowed her to earn money without taking up too much of her time while she continued her studies.

She also mentioned that she had always been surrounded by storytelling and entertainment. Growing up, she read a lot of books, watched films, and followed television dramas at home, so she was already familiar with the world of performance.

What Is Faiza Hasan’s Biggest Concern As A Mother Of Two Teenagers?

Faiza Hasan shared that, like most mothers, her biggest hope for her children is to see them become successful and independent in life. She wants them to focus on their education, earn good degrees, and make the most of their time rather than wasting it. For her, the ultimate goal is to see them grow into capable individuals who can stand on their own feet.

Speaking about the challenges of parenting in rapidly changing times, she explained that every generation faces its own set of concerns. She reflected on how her mother belonged to the era of radio, while she herself grew up during the rise of television and later mobile phones. Now, her children are growing up in the age of the internet, which naturally brings a different set of worries.

When it comes to her parenting style, she feels she is a balance of both – sometimes a friend to her children and sometimes a strict parent when needed.

How Was Faiza Hasan’s Experience Working With A Young Cast In Tum Larkay Bhi Na?

Faiza Hasan shared that working with a young cast was a wonderful experience and something she genuinely enjoys. She mentioned that she has recently worked on several projects with younger actors, including Nand and Aapa Shamim, and now again in Tum Larkay Bhi Na. According to her, being around young actors is always refreshing because they constantly bring new ideas and perspectives.

She enjoys observing them closely – how they think, how they approach their work, and the way they see things differently. While she joked that sometimes they may seem a bit lazy from her point of view, she emphasized that she learns a lot from them regardless of whether they feel they learn anything from her.

Speaking about her co-stars, she said the cast on this project was extremely helpful and kind. She was particularly excited to work with Aina Asif, whose work she had admired for a while. She described Aina as a wonderfully talented actor with a God-gifted ability and said she was genuinely happy when she found out they would be working together.

Faiza also shared that it has been a long time since such a strong young actor has appeared on screen, and she believes Aina Asif has the potential to do great things in the industry.
