Here’s everything we loved (and didn’t like) about the latest episode of Zanjeerain!

What We Loved
The way Sarbuland says, “Tum meri Zarmala ho”—so now, in this love story, Rabeeya is officially Sarbuland’s Zarmala. Super cute and romantic.
Sarbuland saved Rabeeya from committing a crime when she was about to shoot Torsam, while simultaneously giving Torsam a chance to redeem himself.
The conversation between Sarbuland and Bee Jaan was a good one. At one point, it was frustrating how Bee Jaan completely dismissed the fact that, no matter what, Torsam actually tried to kill people—including her own son. On the other hand, it was refreshing to see Sarbuland counter her arguments. The scene effectively highlighted the contrasting viewpoints of a mother and the older generation versus the younger generation.
Though predictable, the face-off between Rabeeya and Torsam was still enjoyable to watch.
Rabeeya’s raw pain and unrestrained grief were crucial for the audience to witness, allowing both her and the viewers to finally move on.
What Could Have Been Improved
The continuity in Rabeeya’s encounter with Torsam should have been maintained. Whether it was the editor’s or the director’s call, the noticeable mismatch between the two back-to-back scenes dulled the impact of Rabeeya’s performance.
Rabeeya was crying in Sarbuland’s arms one minute, and then suddenly running out of the room holding a revolver? The editing needed to be tighter here, unless that transitional moment was simply never filmed.
Torsam’s sudden change of heart was hard to buy and overall disappointing. Building someone up as entirely ruthless only to abruptly soften them felt poorly executed. The writer either needed to establish a softer side early on or show Meher Bano spending more time with him to gradually influence his character.
As it stands, the shift felt far too sudden to be believable.
We expected much more dynamic and satisfying endings for both Sohrab and Torsam.
