Brie Larson wearing Celine at the Oscars. This simple yet elegant gown is composed of more than 120,000 sequins, 110,000 glass beads, 13,000 Swarovski crystals, and required over 1,200 hours of hand embroidery. And it looks a million dollars on her.
Regina King in Versace looked absolutely stunning. The dress fits perfectly, makes enough of a statement to make heads turn and glorifies “less is more” fabulously. This is certainly an award winning look.
Janelle Monae wearing custom Ralph Lauren. Agree with us or not, there is something out of this world about this 168,000 Swarovski crystals encrusted gown. It’s elegant yet edgy, simple yet sleek and that hoodie just makes it so chic. We reckon it could be spotted from space!
DISASTERS
Billy Porter and that armour! If the last Oscars weren’t a challenge, he’s at it again! We get “whimsical” and sure, chest plates have been adorned by other fashionistas too but we just can’t get our heads around this style statement. Perhaps an inspiration from the hen that lays golden eggs – maybe?
Billie Eilish makes history! Well, never have we ever seen a Chanel outfit look this drab. It looks like it previously belonged to a much larger, older brother who managed to burn one of the many Chanel logos before handing it down to Billie.
Kristen Wiig looks like Pasta! Jokes apart, what is this dress meant to be? Was this part of a comedy act? Or to make people feel hungry at the red carpet cuz we are still trying to figure this one out. Hey, is that a lasagne sheet or a trail? Mind boggling!
WORST DRESSED
Timothée Chalamet in Prada. Dear Timothee, all you had to do was look like you were wearing Prada. One cannot possibly be more underwhelmed than this. You could have easily been mistaken for a Valet on the Red Carpet!
Laura Dern wearing Armani was another super boring sight for the eyes. This look reminds us of curtains, lampshades, and an old Nightie. If Laura was trying to look “Vintage”, well she certainly went for the wrong (household) department.
Maya Rudolph wearing Valentino. Seriously! Were the designers overworked with all the award shows or simply uninspired. This is a glamorous sack? That’s all it is. A large piece of cloth that needed to be stitched up to fit ANYONE! And Maya Rudolph was tricked to believe she looks “very Valentino”
