Gigi Hadid personally confirmed reports that she is expecting her first child with Zayn Malik. Speaking to US host Jimmy Fallon via video link, the 25-year-old model told him she’s indeed pregnant.
Days after the news broke that the 25 year old is pregnant and expecting her first child with Zayn Malik, fans are finally getting the details they so crave. On Thursday, April 30, Hadid gave an interview to Jimmy Fallon, where she discussed the exciting update for the very first time.
“Obviously, you know, we wish we could’ve announced it on our own terms, but we’re very excited and happy and grateful for everyone’s well wishes and support so…”
Hadid said, hinting she was pipped to the post – by media outlets and possibly her own mother – when it came to sharing her pregnancy news.
“I’m trying [to be present for every part of it],” she continued.
“Especially during this time, it’s a nice silver lining to be able to be home together and really experience it.”
Hadid also revealed her biggest craving became part of her birthday cake.
“My craving has been everything bagels,” she said. “I eat an everything bagel everyday and so I was already like, so excited that my birthday cake was the everything bagel.”
A day ago, Hadid’s mother Yolanda Hadid, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum appeared to confirm that her daughter Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik are expecting their first child via social media.
“Still shocked our little secret got leaked to the press,” she told Dutch media outlet RTL Boulevard.
“Of course we are so excited. I am excited to become Oma in September especially after I lost my mom so recently. But this is the beauty of life; one soul leaves us and a new one comes in. We feel very blessed.”
In February, the model spoke about her desire to have children in the future with i-D magazine. “I think that as I get older… well one day I’ll start a family and I don’t know if I will always be modelling,” she said.
