Aakhir Kab Tak is throwing some super performances our way. From Noor & Fajar’s starkly contrasting personalities to Saim’s incredibly patient reaction to a terror stricken wife – the drama is telling the story in an engaging manner. We’re loving the twists & turns, the fast-paced story telling & of course, what pulls it altogether – the strong performances.

Ushna Shah & Srha Asghar have a tight grip on the narrative. And if that wasn’t all, Haroon Shahid is setting uber love new husband goals.
AKT depicts the horrific aftermath a rape victim undergoes when contemplating a physical relationship.

We loved the way Saim covered the incident with a chipkali excuse & how Fajar’s mother in law is handing out positive vibes. On another note, Noor’s victory smile at the sight of Bisam packing up was the cherry on top.
Our thoughts
Will Fajar drive away Saim & her super understanding in-laws with her anxious attitude? We feel for Noor as she struggles to make sense of the toxicity around her.

While the drama is keeping us riveted, we fail to make sense of Safia’s character – why can she not (as a mother) support Noor & offer sane advice to Fajar? A trip to the doctor or therapist should be on the cards fort Fajar, but only if the mom would understand that all cannot be solved through ‘dhamkian’ as Noor rightly tried to explain to her mom – yet her pleas fall on deaf ears!

We wonder if Noor’s position will become stronger in the house as her father becomes bed-ridden?
With the father struck with paralysis, we are expecting Noor to take over the reins & add yet another dimension to the story telling – that of showing how daughters can also tend to a household, financially & emotionally – at least that is the narrative the audiences are waiting to see unfold onscreen!
The only low point?
The girls’ mom is certainly not making life easier for both of them. From wanting Bisam to marry her daughter, to terrorizing Fajar into silence, the mom needs to be more supportive of her daughters. Added to that is Noor’s frustration at the state of affairs and her helplessness is felt by audiences too.
And on that note, a shout out to the Aakhir Kab Tak team – especially writer Radain Shah, director Ali Raza Osama, Ushna Shah, Srha Asghar, Shahood Alvi & Azfer Rehman for delivering a riveting performance so far!
