Noor tearing the stamp paper & placing it before Bisam was awesome. Pakistani drama makers are shifting heroine goals from the roti dhoti, haalaat ke maari huwi Zoobi to the very expressive and take the bull by the horns Noor, to show us that a girl CAN be outspoken yet respectful, assertive but not needlessly aggressive (of course, Noor’s attitude with Bisam is a welcome exception)!
Did we just see the mother finally connecting with Noor in one scene?
What We, As The Audience Want To See
We hope to see Inspector Nasir’s journey to transition to the good side over the next few episodes, thanks to Noor.
Although Nasir might not have been directly involved in the disappearance of the truck, he did take the money… Or can we hope to see a Robin Hood effect somewhere there? Because we would for sure want Noor’s hero to have his ethics & values sorted & not be involved in corruption.
A quick glance at past performances and we feel Noor has it in her to set her guy straight. She might not have the love feels yet, but she will soon. Will that cloud her judgement or will she ensure that the man by her side is worthy enough of her respect? So now ahem, we not only have great expectations from Noor but from her ability to shape her love story as well! Oh well, they say, a girl’s life is hard – let’s see if Noor matches up!
We would also have wanted to see some softer moments between Fajar & Saim before Fajar faced her demons again … we can feel Fajar’s fear. The terror was tangible and directorially well placed, as she crouches in fear at the sight of her friend. A few snatched falooda moments will help strengthen Saim & Fajar’s fledgling love for the storm that is about to come (on Saim) so why not give us, and them, a quiet moment or two?
