Throughout the book, Saima Akram Chaudhary will tell you stories about deeply flawed individuals such as the girl who pays a very heavy price because of her pride, a writer who is in love with a character she herself wrote, a patient who is in love with her doctor, etc. The writer will interconnect the stories and characters in a way that is deeply intriguing, urging you to read on till eternity.
The story has many characters and each one of them will teach you an important life lesson. Maham Mansoor- a psychologist and a goddess of beauty, Ayesha Rahim- an artist and a very kind-hearted girl, Ramis Ali- a very handsome young man and the patient of Maham, Dr Khawar- a very graceful doctor, Mohid Rahim- an admirable young man whose life has turned upside down after a drastic incident, Sanaila- a very talented writer and last but not the least Sakina Allah Dita- who is a patient of Dr Khawar and is madly in love with him.
The Engaging Characters
Though all the characters were beautifully written, the characters of Dr Khawar and Mohid Rahim were my personal favourites. Mohid Rahim was such a heart-touching character, his story of life was beautiful yet heart-wrenching. The words he said were deep and real. He said:
کاش کبھی قسمت میرے ہاتھ لگے تو میں اس سے پوچھوں، تمہیں زندگی سے بھرپور چہروں کے ساتھ کھیلتے ہوئے ذرا بھی رحم نہیں آتا۔
On the other side, Dr Khawar was an embodiment of kindness. He was committed to his work and always cared about others. Though his character was simple, he had a lot of depth in terms of character development. He imparted an important lesson to the readers that they should thrive in their individuality and stop trying to conform to what society expects of them.
