The Crown was the big winner, taking home 7 primetime awards in the following categories:

Ted Lasso took home the Emmy for best comedy series. In the words of Coach Ted Lasso

Best Leading Actress Is…
Kate Winslet took home the Emmy for outstanding lead actress in a limited series or TV movie for her role in ‘Mare of Easttown’. She thanked her children by saying “my children are the greatest people in the world”
Netflix vs. HBO
Netflix wins 10 primetime awards, HBO 9. It was a tight race in the primetime category but Netflix ruled in the Emmys winning 44 awards in total
A Proud Moment
‘The Crown‘ creator Peter Morgan won the writing award & Jessica Hobbs, the directing prize.
“Not a lot of women have won this award, so I feel like I am standing on the shoulders of some really extraordinary people.”

Making History
RuPaul made history – the most wins by a person of color. RuPaul’s Drag Race took home the prize for outstanding competition program. It is the most-awarded reality competition show at the Emmys.
Speech Of The Day
Lastly, best speech of the night went to ‘I Will Destroy You’ star Michaela Coel, who dedicated her Emmy win for outstanding writing for a limited or anthology series or movie to survivors of sexual abuse.
