Aswad’s character might be very toxic & testing our patience at so many levels but his chemistry with Mahereen is undeniable. There is something between them, that makes you want them to be together. Despite everything that Aswad might say, he still rescues Mehreen every time, even if a bit late.
The flash back scenes, the edits, the camera angles. every time Director Farooq Rind wows us by making the visual experience more entertaining. He is using it not only to experiment visually but also giving us a better understanding of how Mehreen has been carrying this pain since childhood & giving us a peek into her childhood scars.
The scene of young Mehreen with her Mom about to get married was heart-touching & well executed. Shuker Mehreen questioned her mom why she didn’t come to meet her in jail, humara bhi yehee sawal tha Rabia jee…
Happy to see Saffan is not running after Mehreen & respecting her decision but supporting her.
But we wish few things were presented differently
Mehreen painting & sketching in the house. Aswad gets to know about all her actions except for this one.
The scene when Mehreen is being harassed by Mami at the stairs, she is being pulled by two women from both sides. It was as if the entire scene lost its impact because of this action & we wondered why didn’t Aswad just move in to stop all this.
