As we anticipate the new episode of Ishq-e-Laa tonight, here is our review of last week’s episode and some questions that have been on our minds ever since!
What a lovely & heart-winning episode of Ishq-e-Laa. It made us smile & feel warm inside, not just by seeing Shanaya & Azlan get together but also through the endearing bond of Sultan & Azka, along with thought-provoking words about forming a bond with Allah.
Can we really blame Shanaya for choosing Azlan over Fahad? Kiyon kay dil to pagal hai na…
But, We Have Some Questions!
But more importantly or should we say, sadly, the drama made us ask:
Is it that we have not taught our women to differentiate between who values & respects them versus who takes them for granted or Is it simply the power of love that no matter how educated, how established & mentally strong you are, you cannot resist it?
Do you think Azlan is really in love with Shanaya or is it his ego that is not letting go of her? Why else would he go through the trouble of going through her day with her, sipping on gur ki chai & then finally giving in to the gol gappas.
Every passing episode makes us fall in love with Shanaya’s character even more. We wonder if her quest & desire to find the right connection with Allah will lead to differences between her & Azlan?
Is Azlan Really Trying?
Azlan first irked us by seeming too selfish, but then, won us over by making an effort, (even though it was clearly done with a great deal of discomfort), to understand Shanaya’s life. Starting with the gur wali chai to finally being amused at eating the spicy gol gappas, Azlaan’s journey is very engaging.
Enters Our Supergirl Azka!
Woohoo Azka jee, which supergirl forces do you have – kiya pitaai lugaai un motorcylcle walon ki, single handedly! We were rooting for you, but sad to see you might get entangled in the saazish cooked up by Kanwal & Abid.
The Episode Has Us Thinking!
By showing Azlaan forcing Shanaya into coming out at the time of her rishta, & then eventually, proposing to her, did the drama just validate the fact that If someone you love tries to enforce things on you, it is okay because everything might work out eventually? Could they not have shown Shanaya asking him to come back later, & letting the conversation happen on her terms as well?
