Move aside, Bollywood star kids have arrived! (Get it?) Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor & Agastya Nanda are all set to debut in Zoya Akhtar’s next directorial project ‘The Archies’ & can we just say…WOW!
Shahrukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan, Sri Devi’s daughter Khushi Kapoor, & Amitabh Bachan’s grandson are among the ensemble cast of The Archies. The teaser was released today and it gives off old-school vibes & we are here for it! It features a group of friends on a picnic, having the time of their lives! The outfits, hairdos and the overall feel is on point with the vibe it’s trying to put across.
Along with the three-star kids, Mihir Ahuja, Dot., Yuvraj Menda, and Yedang Raina will also be seen in significant roles. It is a Netflix original film produced by the uber-talented Zoya Akhtar via her production company Tiger Baby Films & it has also been directed by her. It is set to release in 2023.
Based on the classic characters of Archie comics, Suhana, Khushi and Agastya will be essaying the roles of Veronica, Betty, and Archie respectively. The Archies will “reimagine the classic characters like Archie, Betty, Veronica, Reggie, Moose, and Jughead as Indians and will feature all the classic elements of the hugely popular comic book series,” reported Variety.

Shahrukh Khan is over the moon about his daughter’s Bollywood debut and took to Instagram to share his words of wisdom for her as she steps into the world of acting. He writes,
“And remember @suhanakhan2 you are never going to be perfect….but being yourself is the closest to that. Be kind and giving as an actor….the brickbats and applause is not yours to keep….the part of you that gets left behind on screen will always belong to you….u have come a long way baby….but the road to peoples heart is unending…..stride forth and make as many smile as you can. Now let there be Light….Camera and Action! Signed Another Actor.”

Now, THIS is what you call a Bollywood debut. We are super hyped to see how this pans out, especially how these star kids perform. The expectations levels are through the roof as Zoya Akhtar’s genius mind has previously given us masterpieces like Zindagi Na Milay Gi Dobara & Dil Dhadakne Do. Guess we’ll have to wait & watch!
