The drama highlights that just like a lifetime of negativity can drown a personality (Shah Jehan, and for a time, Hala too), the power of experiencing love & genuine relationships can be so overwhelming & positive that it can make one want to improve themselves. Hala’s journey mirror’s this so well as she expresses the desire to complete her education. Hamza encouraging Hala on this front and planning to take her to London served up major husband goals and we’re just so happy that the writer & director slipped that one into the story.

On the other hand, Hamza’s patience with both Hala & his mom is super exemplary. As much as we’re loving this side of his personality, do we feel sometimes that it’s too good to be true? And is that because of all the negative husband roles we have been made to watch earlier? Now that we see a positive role model, hum se apni khushi sameti nahi ja rahi! Or, do you think Hamza’s ultimate character test will occur when the Khurram story is revealed to him?
And will he be able to pass that one?

On another note, we questioned why Hala wasn’t seated at the table with Hamza’s colleagues after dinner was served. Did you find it strange too or are we making a mountain out of a molehill?
We are so proud of Sameen & relieved for her too, that she’s managed to pull herself out of the rishta pressures her family was imposing on her. But unfortunately, men like Khurram are a prime example of why girls in our society cannot carry on a regular, platonic relationship with a guy. Moreover, by calling Khurram home, her mom is not helping matters either.
Do you think it is marriage-obsessed parents like Sofia who prevent young, promising girls like Sameen from excelling in their academics & careers?
