Basit’s conversation with his mother at her grave was emotional and heart touching. Is he warming up to Ayesha? FUCHSIA review.

FUCHSIA Review
Basit had such a heavy conversation at his mother’s grave. What we appreciate is the fact that everything was not solved in merely one visit, he said “I will keep coming and talking to you”. Years of pent up emotions due to abandonment and the absence of a mother figure in Basit’s life cannot be resolved in an hour. It takes time to forgive and come to terms with the pain & grief.
We are a bit confused by Basit’s behaviour towards Ayesha. Is he really warming up to her? Because in one scene it seems like he is feeling closer to her, but in the next one, he turns formal once more.
And Ayesha jee, Basit baat kerna chah reha hain to baat kerain na… leave Sadia aunty out for a bit … woh to waisay hi ja chukki hain… you know, like Elsa would say “let it gooo!”
Both Bano and Ayesha disappointed us by failing to stand up for Zoya. Bano is now working and Ayesha has a well-to-do husband. They could both have joined forces and together, stopped their mother from marrying off Zoya forcefully.
Their behaviour makes us realise that if the head of the family is so non-invested in the lives of family members, each of them also start becoming self-absorbed in their own problems and issues. Not really caring enough deep down.
This is reflective of Bano and Ayesha’s attitude towrads each other. They both fail to see the other’s pain and are lost in their own mehroomi, totally failing to be there for each other.
Thank God for Fahad, Basit’s friend who is the voice of reason and keeps reminding Basit of his reality, and all that he should be grateful for in his life.
Jawad is not giving up… he is up to his silly anctics with Bano this time. But the question is, why does Basit keep giving him a chance again and again?
Just a small observation, the drama begins with Basit and Fahad in the car and Basit telling Fahad that “you don’t visit any more”… so we are assuming a few days have passed since they met at Basit’s house (where he had also met Bano) …. BUT Bano ka din to wohi continue ho reha hai…
The next scene after their conversation in the car scene shows Bano returning to the office from Basit’s house.
These are minor observations, but they create an impact on our viewing experience. More attention to detail will be a great plus!
