A big shout out to Yumna Zaidi for differentiating expertly between Bakhtu and Bakhtawar, and we love both.
It is interesting how Bakhtawar chooses to remember Bakhtu and sometimes, completely pushes him at the back of her mind, like when she went shopping – an interesting representation of how the mind works when you are pretending to be another person in addition to your own self.
Also, while we may see Bakhtu in action most of the time, it is Bakhtawar who is controlling him really – Bakhtawar as Bakhtu is calling the shots. All that Bakhtawar wants to do or achieve, she is making Bakhtu achieve it for her.
Where are Bakhtawar’s documents? The driver has not given them to Hooriya yet… we wonder when they will surface and create a big problem.
The next episode teaser has us hooked, as Sheeda reveals to Hooriya how Bakhtu is responsible for Dilawer’s actions, giving her just the ammunition she needs.
It is good to see Dilawar finally taking a stand and initiating decisive action, not taking Hooriya into account at all. It was getting a bit boring to watch Dilalwer do literally nothing.
The drama also highlights, through Dilawer’s father, the mentality of some men in power about the way they regard women. Malik Sherzaman repeatedly ridicules and undermines the importance of women in decision making roles and women themselves as individuals of any significance in his life.
