AGAR is the story of three sisters. What can you sacrifice for each other?
Annie, the eldest sister played by Juggun Kazim bears the responsibility of the primary bread earner in the family and in this process, has not married yet. This hits her sometimes, especially upon receiving attention from a male colleague, Junaid Khan aka Shahwez at the school where she works.
Hooria is the sibling who is self-obsessed and only cares about her own dreams. She, unlike Annie, is not concerned about contributing in & helping with the family finances or in any other way. She just wants to get married and live a comfortable life with her husband.
Chandni, the third sister who came in this world when her mother was hoping for a son, hears her mother perpetually lament her fate, how her family could have had a better future if she had given birth to a son instead of a daughter. She is young, sensitive and impressionable.
Hina Bayat plays the mother who is dependent on her children for money. We see a grey character. She is not all good, not all bad. Though, like a typical mother she is pro Behram, her son, who, instead of taking full responsibility of the sisters and household finances has his own priorities in life and doesn’t seem to be bothered about his sister running the house & being the responsible one, at the cost of letting go of her marriage and personal life.
Usama Khan plays the young guy next door who seems to be interested in Hooria.
The drama is interesting by virtue of the varying dynamics that each of the sisters brings in. You will relate to one or the other. It seems to be a promising watch.
One sister bears the responsibility of the entire family, one is least bothered about anyone except herself and the 3rd one is quite impressionable
All the sisters are so different from each other, brought up by a single mother who is dependent on her children’s income.
