Just like every year, despite threats and vile comments, women gather on women’s day to march for equal rights. Aurat March has been a controversial topic ever since it happened for the first time 5 years back, however, each year women have come out stronger and more resilient.
Aurat march slogans/posters are often scrutinized by the naysayers & criticized for being too “bold” or “behaya,” but despite everything, people get more and more creative with them every year!

1. This poster highlights the wage gap that women often fall prey to. Equal pay, equal rights! That’s the motto.
2. The irony! Aurat aadhi gawah magar pooray gawah (mard) ko paida karnay wali bhi aurat!
3. We can be anything we want so don’t limit us to being someone’s wife, we are and deserve to be so much more than that!
4. If we don’t march and speak up, the religion won’t be in danger but we certainly will be.

We look forward to Aurat March placards each year and they keep on getting better and better. Of course, not to take away from the actual cause. We are proud of all the women who came out and spoke up for their rights.
