Marvel Phase 4; all the upcoming shows and movies in 2021!

In 2019, Marvel released Endgame which went on to become the highest-grossing movie of all time, taking over Avatar. The blockbuster movie was the closing of Marvel Phase 3 and we sadly had to bid farewell to some of our favourite superheroes.
Tears, heartbreak and a feeling of emptiness were common among those in the Marvel fandom. Guess some of us just aren’t too good at goodbyes! But hold the tears – Marvel already had a plan up their sleeves as it announced the Marvel Phase 4, sending fans and social media in a frenzy. So hold on to your hearts as we drop 2021 Marvel plans on you!
1. Wanda Vision (TV series)

This mini series follows the life of Vision, his wife, Wanda, and their idealized suburban life; until they realize not everything is what it seems to be. (Source: Disney Plus)
If you loved and dreamed of Jeannie and Bewitched, this one’s for you! Disney is paying homage to the shows that became iconic in their time and beyond! Wanda Vision is positioned like a vintage sitcom but the characters are from the MCU, giving them superpowers. It is a sequel to Avengers: Endgame.

2. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (TV series)

This show revolves around Sam Wilson (Falcon) and Bucky Barnes (Winter soldier) as they lead their lives after Endgame and after Steve Rogers passes the iconic Captain America shield to Sam. The two misfits are on an adventure, which will most likely test their friendship, survival skills and composure.
The Falcon & The Winter Soldier was supposed to be the first Marvel show on the air, but Covid took over, much to the fan’s disappointment. However, as we look forward to this 6 episode March premiere, we have Wanda Vision to fill the gap!

3. Loki (TV series)

Yes, that’s right! Our very own Loki is getting his own mini series!
Wait a minute, do you remember the last time we saw Loki? It was in Endgame, when he stole the Tesseract and just… vanished. The series picks up from when he took the Tesseract and what follows after. Not only can he travel anywhere in space, but this time, it will be anywhere in time too! (says a 1975 Jaws Billboard spotted in the trailer). Exciting stuff that. Can’t wait for this thriller to be released soon!

4. Black Widow (Movie)

Many say Natasha Romanoff is a sort of mystery to them or say they want to know more about her. Well, lucky for them! The movie shows us Natasha’s secrets, past and her family. This should be fun!

5. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (Movie)

The movie revolves around the Marvel Character Shang Chi, and the events that follow after he is confronted by the Ten Rings organization.
A film based on Shang Chi has been under works since 2001. This will be the 25th MCU film and the first teaser dropped just last month!

6. What If… (TV Series)

This is an alter reality where different events from the MCU will take place differently. This should be interesting.
Fun fact: First What If of comic created in 1977! Explore alternatives such as, ‘What if Peggy took the serum instead of Steve?’ ‘What if Hulk had the brain of Bruce?’

7. Hawkeye (TV Series)

This adventure series is based around Clint Barton and his apprentice Kate Bishop (a member of Young Avengers).
It was rumoured that the series title would be Anchor Point but they stuck with Hawkeye. Which title do you prefer?

8. The Eternals (Movie)

This is about immortal beings who shaped the history of the earth. Hmm, sounds interesting.

We don’t know much about the plot but what we do know is that it has all three Spidermen! Yess! Waiting eagerly to see what they bring to our screens.

A good start to 2021
With very less content this year, it was somewhat a dry year for Marvel and its fans, but I guess patience bring us the best of the best! We started off with WandaVision, then we went on to Falcon and the Winter Soldier and now Loki! Love how the year’s progressing
