Shaheen Afridi has 7 brothers out of which 4 of them had picked up the game in some form or the other. But his main inspiration was his older brother Riaz Afridi who has also served as a test cricketer in the Pakistani Cricket Team.
Fun fact Shaheen was obsessed with cricket from a very young age! His brother in an interview shared how when the Pakistani team lost matches he didn’t eat for 2 days at a stretch!
2. Shaheen’s Debut
He debuted in the world of cricket with the FATA under-16 cricket team where he became the leading wicket-taker with 12 wickets!
3. Shaheen’s Electrifying Performances
Shaheen while making his first-class debut in the 2017 Quaid e Azam trophy managed to score the best figures for a Pakistani bowler in a first-class debut.
Then in the 2019 ICC world cup, he ended the campaign by being the youngest-ever player to take 6 wickets in a single game while also taking the most wickets by a teenager.
