It is refreshing too see Komal Meer in a role that is not crying or sad. She delivers Raniya with a punch, and one can see how comfortable she is in character. Completely owning the bravado and righteousness of Raniya.
2. Sehar Khan as Umeed Pasha in Fairy Tale
Loving how Sehar Khan is making us fans of Umeed and her impulsive nature. It is a contrasting change from her recent roles. Her comic timing is good and her portrayal of Umeed is winning her fans.
3. Hamza Sohail as Farjad in Fairy Tale
The serious, almost robotic and uptight nature of Farjad is portrayed by Hamza with an ease and brilliance. He makes us like Farjad yet makes us want to see him relax a bit. What we really appreciate is the realistic touch in his performance.
4. Wahaj Ali as Murtasim in Tere Bin
Betrayal, sadness, hurt pride and a desire to maybe see if he means anything to Meerab, Wahaj Ali is playing all emotions of Murtasim with such grace that one can’t resist but become his fan.
5. Yumna Zaidi as Meerab in Tere Bin
She is fierce, she is bold, she is proud and then she is alluring and charming. Yumna Zaidi is a mention-worthy actors and makes us all go along with her in this emotional roller coaster ride of Meerab.
6. Ali Safina as Saif Ur Rehman in Kuch Ankahi
It is definitely the proof of his talent if he can make us unsure about his character in a drama. We don’t know if Saif is good or bad. We get irritated with him but then we are also rooting for him to change and be the nice guy he sometimes shows himself to be.
7. Omair Rana as Javed in Pinjra
What a heart warming portrayal of a man who re-learns how to be a father and a husband. The best part is how he made us angry at Javed and then gradually, made us part of Javed’s journey to find his way back to his family, and yet, never allowing Javed to be unrealistic or unrelatable.
8. Hadiqa Kiani as Khadija in Pinjra
A great performance portraying a woman who finally got her family back and is also now starting to gradually get around to her new found confident self. It was heart-warming to see her as a mother, as a friend and as a wife.
9. Maya Ali as Kim in Yunhi
Talented Maya Ali’s portrayal of the confused, extremely straight forward and independent Kim is interesting. You begin to like her but then she will utter something totally incredulous that is too true and harsh for desi double standards.
10. Bilal Ashraf as Dawood in Yunhi
The silent force that is Dawood. Love how subtly Bilal Ashraf has played him and yet we know exactly what Dawood is thinking and feeling. To communicate intensity with near mute expressions is definitely mention-worthy.
11. Bilal Abbas Khan As Salman In Kuch Ankahi
He makes you smile, and you feel like you know him since forever. Bilal Abbas Khan makes Salman relatable and a heart winning character with an ease and true-to-life mannerisms that are definitely mention-worthy.
