Last night’s episode of 22 Qadam was full of emotions, schemes, sisterly bonding and heartbreaks in friendships. We see the girls from Fari and Liza’s cricket team beginning their journey of freedom, hope and passion being renewed. The 9 girls from all walks of life begin their journey – some on a rickshaw, some on a bike and some in a car. While that was heartfelt to watch we were stunned to see Liza back track. Just when last week we were glad to see Fari and Liza finally putting their differences aside to come together to form their own team, becoming an emblem of girl power we didn’t expect the tiff between the two to return back so soon. Was it the beginning of their friendship or not really?
Liza calls the first team meeting purposely without Fari…is she manipulating the team already to make them distrust Fari? Junaid is the only one who asks about Fari who is clue less about the games going on behind her back. Junaid isn’t doing this for himself or his career, isn’t he actually doing a favour for Liza and Fari? The dedication, humbleness and how earnestly he is coaching the team is apparent but Liza has no plans to be grateful about it. She is insistent on exacting her revenge for her un reciprocated feelings until Junaid regrets turning her down and comes back to accept he feels the same. While he still wants to be friends, sort out their problems, share his worries she in return shows no concerns, degrades and is seriously bitter towards him. Can we blame her or not?
Twitter fans are siding with Junaid in 22 Qadam and declaring Liza as the worst friend to have. Though the episode did end with a rightful question, who made Liza captain? Her privilege? Her stubbornness? Her Sneaky tactics? Who do you want the captain to be? Liza or Fari?
