Shirin Farhad Starring Farhan Saeed & Kinza Hashmi
Shirin Farhad—the name itself takes us back to an iconic love story, and this drama seems ready to deliver that same timeless romance. It’s a full-blown nostalgia trip, taking millennials straight to the early ’90s when cinema was larger than life, and stars were the heartbeat of it all. From the teasers, we see two film stars navigating work and what looks like a blossoming love story, wrapped in all things vintage. The setting, the grand film sets, and the dreamy chemistry make it even more exciting. And speaking of chemistry, Kinza Hashmi and Farhan Saeed’s on-screen pairing is already winning us over—there’s something about their dynamic that just clicks!
But wait, the cherry on top? Ali Zafar’s soulful voice giving the background score the ultimate ’90s vibe! It feels like a love letter to classic cinema, with everything from the costumes to the makeup dripping in nostalgia. It wouldn’t be surprising if this turns out to be a screen adaptation of a real-life romance—who knows? We’re just guessing! If you’re a fan of vintage love stories, this one looks like a dream come true. We’re already counting down the days until it airs!
Shirin Farhad is written by Ali Moeen and directed by Asad Mumtaz. It is a project of Momina Duraid Productions and stars Kinza Hashmi and Farhan Saeed in lead roles.
Dastakhat Starring Affan Waheed & Amar Khan
Dastakhat might just be bringing back the classic “forced marriage” trope, but with a fresh twist (or so we hope!). We’ve seen this story before—a wedding where one person isn’t exactly throwing confetti in the air because, well, they love someone else. Here, Affan Waheed plays the reluctant groom who doesn’t want to marry Amar Khan but is instead in love with Meher Bano. And Amar? She’s the innocent bride caught in the ultimate whirlwind of majburiyan (cue dramatic sighs) and the ever-present log kya kahenge pressure. But the real question is—will this drama go down the usual heartbreak-and-sacrifice road, or will it surprise us with something new?
Because let’s be real, if it’s just another bechari dulhan story, we’ll all be rolling our eyes (we’ve seen enough of those!). But what if Amar’s character isn’t your typical tearful, submissive bride? Maybe she’s got a plan up her sleeve, maybe she’s ready to flip the script? And what about Affan’s character? Is he just going to mope around, or will he actually take charge of his life? The teasers haven’t revealed much, but the potential for drama, emotional rollercoasters, and unexpected twists is definitely there. One thing’s for sure—if Dastakhat manages to take this age-old narrative and add some unpredictability, we’re in for a ride!
Dastakhat is written by Edison Idrees Masih and directed by Abdullah Badini. It is a project of Momina Duraid Productions and stars Affan Waheed, Mehar Bano, Amar Khan, and Ali Ammar.
Paradise Starring Shuja Asad & Iqra Aziz
Paradise – Sachay Pyaar Ki Jhooti Kahani feels like a fresh, never-seen-before narrative, but it still has that Suno Chanda energy (which means chaos, fun, and iconic one-liners are on the way!). The teaser introduces us to Iqra Aziz’s character, Fia, a full-on Gen Z heroine who has no time for rishta talks or shaadi pressure. She’s independent, ambitious, and ready to take on the world—marriage? Not on her to-do list anytime soon. (We love a queen who has her priorities straight!) But here’s the thing—whenever a drama starts with a lead proudly declaring, “Mujhe abhi shadi nahi karni,” we all know what happens next (cue shaadi bells in the distance).
And where is Shuja Asad’s character in all this? That’s the mystery for now! Maybe he’s the complete opposite of Iqra—calm, serious, and emotionally available (or worse, a hopeless romantic who quotes poetry at random moments!). Or maybe he’s just as savage as her, and we’re about to witness a hilarious battle of the wits before they inevitably fall for each other. Will it be a love story wrapped in comedy, or are we in for some major heartbreak? No idea yet, but one thing’s for sure—this drama has potential, and we’re already grabbing our popcorn to see where it goes!
Paradise is presented by LOIQ FILMS. It is written by Nasir Hussain and Yasir Taj and directed by Yasir Hussain. It stars Shuja Asad & Iqra Aziz in lead roles.
And that’s it for the latest teasers for new dramas onscreen. Stay tuned for more on the same and more new dramas coming our way. Which one do you plan to watch first?
