Watermelon Lassi – secret ingredient rose essence
Watermelon is no doubt everyone’s favorite fruit, and it consists mostly of water – surprise surprise – you stay hydrated! What’s the best way to make simple lassi? There were only three ingredients in traditional lassi recipes: Water, Yogurt, Salt, or Honey. However here we add on a little twist by adding watermelon to our traditional lassi. So go ahead and give this refreshing beverage a try!
Recipe
- 2 cups curd (yogurt), whisked without the addition of water
1 cup plain watermelon juice - Rose essence – a pinch
- 1/4 cup sugar
- As required, ice cubes
- Garnish with mint sprigs (optional)

Note if Blueberries are not available, substitute with any seasonal fruit e.g. plums or peaches

- 1 cup frozen blueberries
- ½ cup yogurt
- ½ cup chilled milk
- 2 tbsp honey or sugar
- ½ tsp vanilla extract

Pineapple Lassi – secret ingredient ginger
Pineapple is no doubt everyone’s favorite fruit, therefore this combination of Lassi and pineapple would give a delightful flavor to your lassi. Add extra sweetness plus interesting color to your lassi, the recipe is as follows”
Recipe
- 2 cups low-fat vanilla yogurt
- 1/4 cup light coconut milk
- 1 cup smashed pineapple in juice, undrained
- 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon fresh ginger powder, bottled (such as Spice World)
- 6 cubes of ice.
