Do you seriously believe you can’t have a ‘good hair day’ without frying(heating) your hair into obedience? Well, think again. We give you 4 heatless hairstyles that are bound to save you from hair damage as well as time!
Aaj kal time bohat kam hai. Whether it’s our daily routine or we’re getting ready to go somewhere, everything’s a hassle. Taking out the straighteners and curling irons, waiting for them to heat up – it can get too overwhelming.
So, to save you the damage and time, of course, we have for you, not one, not 2, not 3, BUT … drum roll … ‘4 Heatless Hairstyles’ everyone with any hair type can ace easily! Read on.
1. The Low Set Bun
The low set bun is the easiest to do and will surely go with your OOTD.
Here’s how to ace it:
- Part your hair down the middle
- Pull your hair back and make a low ponytail.
- Then twist your hair around the pony and secure with a pin!
Smart tip: If you feel the frizz, use a hair serum to calm frayed strands of hair to smoothen the look.
2. Scarf Headbands
This one’s cute and perfect for a summer evening
Method:
- Take a small sized scarf and fold it into a triangle
- Keep folding the triangle to make a long band
- Then wrap the band along the front of your head and pull back the ends under the rest of your hair to tie into a knot.
Or
If you want a little bow at the front then wrap the band around your head and pull the two ends together, tie them into a cute lil’ bow! Simple and chic. Takes only 5 minutes!
3. Half & Half
Nothing’s more simple than a half & half. Whether its a half pony or a few pins holding back your hair.
Method:
I like giving this one a little twist.
- From one side, twist your hair and take it to the back. Do the same with the other side.
- Pin up with a statement hair pin
- From the front, pull out a thin strand of hair from both sides and viola, it’s done!
4. Simple Side Braid
A simple side braid can do wonders from giving an edgy look to emulating a sweet finish. This is how you can pull it off!
Method:
- Part your hair to the side, any side you like, and comb your hair thoroughly to untangle them.
- Start braiding from the front to the back
- From the back, gather the rest of your hair and braid it
- If there’s excess hair or if your hair is cut into steps and layers, use pins to keep the hair for a longer time.
And voila! It should look something like this:
Personal favorites
My top two favourites are the half and half and the side braid. They’re instant and suit any hair type. If they can settle in with my wavy, bushy, out of control tresses, they can do wonders for everyone else’s too!
