1. Dimply, scaly, patchy, or inflamed skin:
If you notice any unusual thickening, redness, rash, dimpling, or puckering of your breast skin or around the nipple you should consult your doctor.
2. Nipples discharge:
While some leaking is common during pregnancy and breastfeeding, but if there is a discharge any other time, it needs to be checked by your doctor.
3. You didn’t do push-ups but your armpit is sore:
Breast cancer can spread to this additional boob tissue, and it can also enlarge lymph nodes under the armpits. Therefore, consult your doctor if your armpits start to hurt, swell, or you feel a mass when shaving.
4. You observe changes that have nothing to do with your breasts:

Early detection can actually increase your chances of survival. Hence, examine your breasts regularly right after your menstrual period ends. It is also advised to get ultrasounds done annually for women under 40. Women over 40 are advised to get their mammograms done annually.
