The drama scenes that stood out for the week are here. They made a mark, impressed and stayed with viewers, driving conversations and possible, shifting prespectives. Catch our Top 6 Pakistani drama scenes of the week below:

1. Doctor Bahu

Saniya eating her food was an anxious moment that conveyed the fragile mental health of a person who is battling severe trauma and ceases to function normally in her day to day activities. Kubra Khan essayed the mental anguish aptly and kudos to director Mehreen Jabbar bringing it to our screens in a sensitive visual depiction that stayed with viewers long after.
2. Zanjeerain

Shirin and the Tibet talcum powder scene was a pause moment in the drama. the expressions, the detailing as she dressed up, her anticipation peaking at the thought of meeting Sohrab secretively; her emotions were intense, borderline delirious and hypnotic, almost as if she just couldn’t contain herself, her thoughts mirrored aptly through the reflection in the mirror conveyed volumes about her relationship and feelings for Sohrab. Well done team Zanjeerain, this one hit.
3. Aik Mohabbat Aur

Haroon explaining to his parents that Maham needs help, that she, in fact is the one wronged in the marriage as opposed to his brother Faris, and playing it subtly was a great message for audiences. The conversation needed to be heard as Maham’s mother in-law felt she had never imposed herself on her daughter in-law and the father felt he had always ltended to her financial needs – no one seemed to note the emotional wellbeing of their daughter in-law, but instead, felt that offering her the bare minimum in their house was reason enough for her to be happy. The conversation and how it was played out by all three characters stood out if only for the fact that we needed to address something that should be evident but isn’t really in many desi households.
4. Zanjeerain

Sar Buland finally breaking down before Rabeeya in the hospital, revealing the immense pressure he had battled, the loss of his loved ones, and conveying a sense of defeat, was a scene that not only shifted the relationship dynamics between Rabeeya and Sar Buland, drawing them closer through their shared grief, but also, showed the emotional side of sar Buland who appeared to be the strong and silent type but suddenly became hugely relatable and human with that breakdown. Great performances from Sajal aly and Danyal Zafar!
5. Aik Mohabbat Aur

The karhi-chawal proposal possibly scored high on the cuteness scale… Haroon added a humorous, honest twist to a romantic moment, instantly raising the bar from a mere, emotional conversation to an unfiltered, endearing one. The scene played out in an engaging interaction with Haroon’s initial nervousness and Khushbakht’s confusion. Both came togetehr to complement the other with great timing and of course, gen Z has a new idea on how to propose to their future life partner – a win-win all round!
6. Bas Tera Saath Ho

The room makeover in Bas Tera Saath Ho really added to the watch experience. From the detailing; Ansa layering on fresh paint on the wall, to the aesthetic corners, furniture placement and overall transformation from store room feels to a calm, welcoming space for Ansa and Anas added a positive feel and brought home the change in their daily lives – this scene was not brushed over by the director but kept audience sentiments in mind – showing how Ansa and Anas’s state of mind (and viewer experience) deserved an uplift in the story line – the room projected just the right ambience for it to all come together.
