1. CLIMB the Harbour Bridge:
Whether you’re a daredevil or not, this 1332 step high bridge has 3 kinds of climbing programs. One for the faint-hearted, one for the safe players the other for those who actually enjoy these kinds of activities and not just ticking a “must do” from the bucket list. These climbs vary from 1.5 hours to 3.5 hours and give you not just a sense of elation, but amazing views of the harbour and many landmarks in Sydney. Also, you get to take home a photo of you and a cap to prove you climbed this wondrous bridge (at least to some extent).
2. SING outside the Sydney Opera House:
This iconic building is one of the landmarks you will find anywhere and on anything that signifies Sydney. So if you visit Sydney, but miss out on a trip to the opera theatre, you haven’t quite done it right!
It is an architectural masterpiece and has lots of eateries and shops around which makes it an ideal tourist attraction. You can attend a concert or watch a play in this magnificent theatre or just book a tour to see it up close.

3. PLAY tourist at Darling Harbour:
If you want to really enjoy quaint boutiques, specialist shops and a wide array of cuisines, then this is the place to be. Great for a family outing as there is always some activity happening, which makes it fun for everyone.
Take a leisurely sunset cruise on the harbour, stroll through a museum, race around a playground, or take a spin on a carousel. Darling Harbour’s star attractions will let you meet animals, see sea life, climb aboard submarines, swing across flying foxes or witness science in action. You’ll run out of time long before you run out of options.
4. RIDE a Ferry to Manly Island:
Highly recommended! From trampolines and bungees to markets and shops to amazing food and fun activities, this is such a happy and happening place. With a beach for families and colourful souvenirs everywhere, you will surely succumb to shopping here and won’t go without buying a souvenir, a traditional Australian boomerang or a didgeridoo.
The main area is known as the CORSO which leads from shops and eateries to an open, beautiful beach. Take a stroll while you discover eateries, quaint boutiques and cafes or just enjoy the breeze.
5. RELAX at Bondi Beach:
This is the most popular tourist destination for relaxing, surfing or just a day out with the family. The sand is unbelievably soft. It gleams pristine white and it seems like the entire place has been swept through a beautiful filter on Instagram. The water is so blue and beautiful, it’s almost unreal. Tourists and locals alike love hanging out here for the food, the views, the fantastic surfing and so much more.
The fish and chips here are the best in town, although there isn’t a shortage of food here if that’s not what you fancy. Besides, you don’t have to plan to visit Bondi beach as you will find beach-friendly stores at every nook and corner selling basically everything from swimwear to sunblock to surfboards.
6. ADMIRE the Blue Mountains:
Are the mountains actually blue? Not really! It’s the natural blue haze created by vast Eucalyptus forests in this World Heritage area which give them the name “Blue Mountains”. The haze is created when tiny droplets of oil released from the trees mix with water vapour and sunlight to produce a distinctive colour. It’s also the gateway to many walking trails. Board the world’s steepest passenger railway and descend into an ancient rain forest with Scenic World Blue Mountains. Or get a panoramic view of the mountains from a glass-floored cable car suspended above a steep gorge.
A must-do if you have time as this is unique to Sydney.
