What is better than reliving your childhood? The answer is NOTHING! From a specific aroma to a certain scene from your favorite movie can bring back the memories of childhood and trust me it’s the best thing possible. Hollywood is experimenting with the idea of making the audience feel nostalgic, some of the projects paid off well while some destroyed the legacy of our childhood favorite. Well, 2019 is big when it comes to the remake and reboots of old movies. The list of movies got fans excited and we are eagerly waiting for these movies to make us feel old.

It seems like Hollywood is utilizing the psychological strategy to sell the product by giving the audience a chance to go back to the past. From “The Lion King” to “Charlie’s Angels” everything old is new! Some of the remakes released in 2018 was a hit including “Cape Fear” and “Scarface”. The best thing about these remakes is the utilization of the latest advanced technology which can give a new life to our favorite movies. A more dynamic cast, a sharper script or just better production values can make an old story shine like its brand new.
All is not good though! ‘Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle’ failed miserably despite being the reboot of one of the biggest hits of all times. The adaptations were too dark for the audience, though the use of technology was appreciated, the movie lack the focus on the characters and the audience was furious. The Lion King
Who doesn’t remember the famous character Simba from the old hit “The Lion King”? The scene of Mustafa’s death still gives us goosebumps. The Disney hit is all set to make you fall in love with samba again and we are here for it. This beloved Disney hit ruled the hearts of generations and it is coming back in the live action version and I don’t know how I am going to cope with Mufasa’s fate in HD!
Pokémon: Detective Pikachu
Pokémon Pikachu is not playing games anymore as he is a cute little detective in the upcoming movie. The Pokémon series has a massive following and got the fans addicted to the cartoon series, card, and the mobile game “Pokémon Go”. The movie is pretty different from game and series, but Pokémon is as cute as ever!
What Men Want
“What men want” is the remake of “What women want”, a romantic comedy released in 2000. It focuses on the topic of gender inequality at the workplace where Henson’s character, Davis realized she can hear men’s thought!
